Horrible experience,  bathroom was stinking and no drinking water available. Receptionist makes comments in Malayalam to staff about the people who stay..Only plus point is near by to padmanabha swamy temple and lot of vegetarian eateries available within 300m.

Not worth for money

Staff is courteous and near to padmanabha Swamy temple and rooms are very clean, but they have made it too small they should have made it slightly big to atleast move around . Its near temple and price also is responsible negotiate before confirmation

This lodge is located very near to  Anantha Padmanabha swamy mandir and nearby there are two good veg restaurants too ie Hotel Annapurna and Hotel Udupi Veg. 
We reached this hotel on March 25th 2024 at 7.30AM and we got 3 bed AC room immediately. 
Room was very clean and neat . Also all basic facilities were available. 
The owner Mr. Venkatesh is very kind and he extended an excellent hospitality to us. 
I recommend to stay there whenever you want to visit Anathapadmanambha swamy temple/Trivendrum.
Nearby there is a travel agent who provides Auto/Taxi in a very competitive price

An excellent stay at Roop Mahal, Trivendrum

Took 2 rooms for 5 people, rooms were smelling, bathrooms were stinking, no latch in the bathroom gate, in 1 room soap and shampoo was there and second, nothing was available. TV was not working, required multiple follow up to get it started.

Not satisfied.

Bad experience in the price charged

Nice Hotel for pleasant stay. We occupied Non AC Triple bed room.  Owner Mr. Venkatesh is very kind person. He gives useful tips for very good dharshan at Sri Anandha Padmanabha Swami temple. Room is very neat and clean. Good. Thank you so much to Mr. Venkatesan

The windows didn't had any latches on them, and it doesn't have any grill. Any one can enter the room from the window as it doesn't have any lock. Hence couldn't sleep properly at night. I had to leave some family member in the room  while going out as it was not secure to leave my belongings in the room.

The photos posted and the actual hotel is entirely different. Dont go with the photos in the website. The walls and bedsheet were stained. We came and stood in front of reception and the receptionist was not showing any interest and was focusing on his phone and attended us after 2 mins. In the room there was no dustbin,plates and glass. Upon asking he asked us to take the plates from their store room. The plates were not cleaned and were having fungus. TV was turning on and requested him to check, he said he is busy with other customers as it is a peak time even though we have checked in at 10pm. Though he guided us with the steps and promised he will come and check, however he never came. Everytime we had to go and ask for things like wifi password, reception number etc.

Pros: Floor/Bathroom was clean.Bathing bar, water bottle and towels were provided.

Very bad experience 

Terrible rooms, no service at all they provided me an 4 bedroom non-ac with lots of fungal everywhere in the wooden furniture & cots, I asked to see and change the room and he said that great lie about room not available. No parking facility, only outside in a very narrow line street with your own risk. I never recommend it to anyone.

Stay in Roop Mahal was nice and it is just 400 meters from famous Padmanavaswany temple west gate. Room was clean and staffs were nice. Also, hotel arranged taxi for local travel and the driver was nice.

i wanted to visit temple on 1st jan, so i booked it tru travel-guru associate of yatra.com,  its neat to temple and parking available , since its new yr all most all hotels are booked and prices are rocket high. i did not had option  other then booking this scrap, it had only 4 bed non AC room with 2 bathroom with no ventilation, i was driving from Rameshwaram wud reach Thirvanathapuram at 1 am in night, when i reached hotel and checked in there was no parking at all ,,, all occupied and happened to park little away from hotel .. when i checked in i found out toilets pipes are not working and did complaint to a guy's called sagar and vishwas  both came and checked did not do anything ,both bathroom taps are not functioning and they dont check it coz its online booking room,  said will get plumber tomorrow , i said i am ur guest need to get up at 5 am in morning, besides that i have mother who is 70 yes old, either u fix it or give me refund will see other hotels. my mom is sugar patient needs to use toilet often  they said morning they will arrange after speaking manager, i left that hotel and got another one luckily at 2:30 am, travel guru customer no is not working till date , its only email complaint , never book tru travel guru or yatra, u cannot contact customer care at any given point , finally i called up hotel next morning and they said since its online booking i need to speak to website tru which i booked hotel, i got a reply from travel-guru after 4 days and saying that they are sorry cant refund as hotel people are not willing to refund, 
never book tru travel guru or yatra
i request not to go to this hotel and save others from such situation
