we had 3 rooms it is a house-altered residency, but good for a just budget stay and look at attractions. each room has good balcany to get fresh air. Main town is just few minutes walk. The owners are friendly and ready to help but there is no dedicated room service staff or intercom have to call the owner to inquire about needs.  No restaurant is attached, we have to do everything on our own.

Pros:
-Our room and bathroom were quite large. -Good hot water in shower.
-Good location walking distance to shops and restaurants.
-Sitting area outside room.

Cons:
-Room felt very damp.
-Bad odor in room.
-Walls inside our room were heavily damaged with water stains and cracks.
-Could use better upkeep overall.

Okay Budget Place

Stayed in this hotel as part of a group tour so not sure of the price. It is very handily situated about 400 metres from the main crossroad in Thekkady. You can walk everywhere easily. We walked to the National Park entrance for a forest walk, to the martial arts night show and more generally around the area. The hotel is clean and has seating with a small table outside each room. The rooms are basic but adequate. The management were very friendly and helpful. As long as you are paying a two star hotel rate it is a good deal.

El Paradiso hotel, Thekkady

I stayed in a twin share with a friend. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor and it was pleasant on a hot night with the fan on as no air conditioning. Plenty of good places to eat nearby.

Good accommodation in great location

Stayed there as part of a tour. Rooms clean with hot water, AC and fan and a nice varanda area to sit. Breakfast is good too.  

Well located for the National Park, which is worth a visit. Also see the martial art show which is close by.

Well located

Clean large room with terrace and outside chairs. Good beds,  nice hot shower. Quaint wood carved cupboards. Beautiful classic front veranda in carved wood. I did the morning walk and had to leave my room at 6.45 but as asked the owner himself brought me a freshly brewed local coffee to wake me up :-) 
Afterwards my breakfast was kept and check out graciously extended... 

Sympathetic family owned budget hotel

I have stayed there last week and it was pretty good with the atmoshphere...Me Baby and his family is always there to help us...Rooms are of good quality and worth for the amount that we pay..loves to visit again.
