Wow- I wish I had a day to go through this free exhibit. Numerous photographs and diaries detailing the significant details of this revered nationalist's life. I had an amazing time and would want to revisit to get more time to see the exhibit. great surrounding and very knowledgable place if you are into historic exhibits

Not planned on going but was part of our private car tour. Glad we did. Very good exposition of Gandhi's life and made us appreciate the greatness of the man and India's struggle for independence. Loved the slightly homespun dioramas of his life.

Wow! Amazing place! need a day to go through the exhibit

Fascinating

Two days stay

I stayed here for a night with one of my friend. The place is just decent nothing extraordinary. Rooms are decent, well lit, clean and with awesome view. However there is too much of garbage thrown around the hotel boundaries. The people here are really excellent and extremely helpful. Overall a value for money place.

Average place but excellent people

It's like the film trainspotting. Reception desk (a filthy trestle table) covered in tools and rubbish. Room foul smelling and filthy - not cleaned since last guests. Stains all over the damp, stinking carpet. Cold shower with other people's hair all over bathroom floor. Kitchen area (a sink and gas stove) had a scum covered shelf with half used packets of other people's food on. Bedding not washed and I had to lay out my clothes to lie down. Brown water coming out of taps. Had to ask owner for toilet paper and towels - towels were dirty with toothpaste or some other dried white substance on. we had nowhere else to stay and left as quickly as possible. Also, hotel is down many many steps from centre of McLeodgang - then the steps run out and you have to stumble down rocks and gravel on a steep gradient, my partner and I both fell over. There was a pile of rubbish outside our room door- when we asked owner about this he blamed the monkeys and walked off. The wifi does not work. Please do not subject yourselves to this place despite low price.
