We visited this hotel last week with family. The hotel is very neatly managed. Staff is also very friendly and courteous. We will choose this hotel in future as well. The view from our room was also good.

Very good Hotel in Dharamshala

It's been a while since we had a trip to Dharamshala. We went there in July. It was a trip which was planned in the night and the same moment, we started the journey.
we had no idea about our stay. We had just thought of going to triund and nothing else.
We reached dharamshala in the morning 6:00 AM. So it was really tough to find hotel so early. Fortunately we found this hotel "The Origin" and they not only allowed us to move in the hotel, but also they provided us with good breakfast. We had a bath there and some rest. We spent that day roaming in the market. Then we had plan of starting the day pretty early. Our trip of triund was so awesome that we are planning to come here again some time.
Also the staff of hotel was so cooperative and always smiling, that you forget your tiredness after talking to them. We always got someone whenever needed.
The manager also met us and asked if we faced any issue. Not only in hotel, but in the whole trip. So the experience of the hotel was good.
I am planning to go there again next year. And will surely book the same Origin Hotel.

Excellent service

First, I will start with some of the positives. We reached there at 4:30 AM and they give us room at that time. Staff is polite. Room is also average type but they charged like 4 star resort.
Now the negatives, We were outside and thought to have lunch at hotel so we reached there around 3 PM but it was surprised to hear that they have closed the kitchen. It was wonder that how a 3 star hotel can close the kitchen before 10 or 11 PM. They asked us to order food from outside.
We order the tea around 10 PM but they said they have order lined up and it will take 30 mins and we agreed on that. When checked back at 10:35 they said it will take more time and finally at 11 we asked them to cancel the order because for a cup of tea we were waiting for an hour but did not received yet.
Food is pathetic. They even don't know how to make simple pulao. It has terrific taste and unable to eat.
Room service is ok type.
I gave extra one star because they allow us early in the morning for check in. Otherwise this hotel deserve 1 star only.

This is my first visit in this hotel.The hotel is on very good location and view is awesome. 

Service was also good and quick. My family loved it.

Best hotel with a perfect location

Booked this hotel for 2 nights but stayed for 1-night only, because of a group they have shifted my booking to a diff hotel I felt a little disappointed that moment. Rest Hotel is fine, good location. Rooms are good. Staff is also cooperative especially the owner of the hotel.

Good place to Stay

Hotel The Origin is located very close to city centre and not far from Dharamshala / Himachal Cricket Stadium. Infact some of the rooms have the cricket stadium views as well. Whilst we were told we would have buffet dinner, we were served set menu, although the quantity was good. There was a film crew staying the night we were there, hence the entire staff/ kitchen staff were catering to them. Hence, the poor rating on the customer service front. Food was OK, nothing to crave for.
