It was a very relaxing time we spent in Loharu from 16/3/2023 -19/3/2023.
The atmosphere was homely & friendly.The ambience splendid.This is easily one of the best holidays  I have enjoyed so much.
The garden and lawns lush green with peacocks & natural surroundings.The service , hygiene & hospitality excellent.

One has to be very lucky to find - a home - away from home.  

And that’s exactly what Loharu House means to me. Luckily for me, I have to frequently travel to Jaipur. If that wasn’t the case, I would be making random excuses to go stay at Loharu House, one way or the other! 

The reviews I have read on this page do full justice to the history, charm, old world hospitality and sheer grace that one feels embraced by as soon as one enters the property. Delightful conversations with the family over yummy meals and green tea, warm and thoughtful service, visual delights at every corner and every room decorated so uniquely, big green lawns, peacocks, birds chirping, blue skies  – honestly, what more of an oasis can one ask for in the centre of a busy city?

Highly recommended as a warm, charming place to stay in!

This very large comfortable house, with a great history was our home for 3 nights. We enjoyed a meal with the family on one night which was a great chance to learn about the local area. Another night we ate at a recommended restaurant which was an easy 20 min walk. Our room was large so very comfortable to relax in or retreat to one of the balconys to enjoy the peaceful environment. The family dog was also friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Loharu house. I have visited Jaipur several times before and stayed at different heritage properties and five star hotels but the experience staying at Loharu house was far richer than previous experiences. The house is beautifully decorated full of art , local crafts and historic artifacts. We enjoyed wonderful hospitality as well as terrific conversations with our hosts the Nawab and the Begum who were both generous with their time as well as with their knowledge of the area as well as full of interesting insight about current and historic events.

The place

The property is in the city center in the Civil Lines area. It's a  clean and well-kept Bungalow with nice big green lawns and gardens that you can relax and do your morning yoga/walks. In the mornings and evenings you see will a lot of birds especially peacocks, parrots, pigeons, etc in the terrace and surrounding lawns. For where it is, it is really quiet, has clean air and green surroundings and it is a really safe area. Most parts of the old city could be reached within 15-20 min of a cab ride from Loharu. While the palaces and monuments would be half an hour away. 

The food

In general, you will get to taste the best of Nawabi cuisine and the hosts are ready to offer you a wide variety of home-cooked meals. While the breakfast always contains freshly cut vegetables and other cereals. You could always request for more options if you like. The flavor and taste are unique for they do use more of in-house ingredients and recipes. The cooks and staff are caring and will be happy to hear you out if you have any special orders. 

Not to forget your dining experience is made merrier with the Loharu family joining in some times, you will get to interact and inform yourself of the cities favorite things to do and best shopping recommendations. If you do get a chance to talk to any of the hosts you will always get to experience their good heart of hospitality and they will never hesitate to make things right for you to feel comfortable. 

The Rooms

The rooms are super well furnished and be assured this is not a monotonous theme like star hotels but well kept old style furniture which makes you feel as cosy as your home. You will get to see the taste of Jaipur block prints in most of the Upholstery that you see and it makes the space special. You will get to see a lot of picture frames from the early 19th century on the history of the Nawab of Loharu. Most of the furniture is old style royal carvings that look traditional with wood decorations and the blue pottery collections from various parts of the world preserved by the Loharu family are pleasant to your eyes. 

The rooms are variable depending on your choice but each has its own beauty and theme.  You will also find a lot of space to sit around in the gardens and lawns to have a pleasant coffee/ reading time. 

The staff

Very friendly and caring, you will get to know them quite quickly too.

We were there for two nights with family , 8 rooms over the weekend . 
while booking we were looking at something which would be swanky yet homely . As we were done with five stars . needless to stay there was a lot of apprehension as to how the place would   turn out to be ...believe me the moment we stepped in which was late evening and it was dark around , we still loved it instantly . Waking up in the morning among-st well manicured gardens , lush tress , peacocks and birds chirping away was another soul touching experience . It didn't seem like we were in the heart of the city ...it seemed we were in a quaint resort full of life .
The royal family( owners )  was warm , respect all the way for them .
The staff pleasant , never a NO for anything . we had a bonfire for us both evenings , endless cups of tea in those gorgeous lawns under the sun , simple yet warm rooms ...made it for a great family trip . blessings and love team Loharu ! stay shining

This guest house is a green oasis in the middle of the new jaipur - Civil lane.
It is calm, the rooms are nicely decorated and the hosts are very lovely - you can join a delicious diner with other guests and have a grear evenin
The only downside is that despite bing in center jaipur, there are no shops are restaurants in walking distance. Given the low taxi fares it is not an issue at all. We would go back there anythime.

The stay reminds of a old world charm with representation of Rajasthan at its best.
The Dabu printed linens , paintings & serene atmosphere is a rejuvenating experience.

The garden in front with peacocks & white pigeons gets one away from the daily hustle bustle.

Would definitely recommend a stay here .

It was a weekend get together of cousins to fete an old aunt's 90th birthday. So we decided on Loharu House based on Tripadvisor testimonials and some acquaintenances who had visited. It is a lovely sprawling bungalow set in the genteel area of Civil Lines. Unfortunately the normal DBL rooms we opted for were not sprawling. Maybe the 2 heavy sofas in the room could be removed for 2 lighter chairs giving a little more room to move around. They have a verandah outside with comfy sofas to sit upon as well. The plumbing is also old world so a shower only gave us a trickle and we had to juggle with the mixer to keep from getting scalded !
Apart from these irritants, we had a splendid time. A very nice breakfast was laid out - choice of muesli /cornflakes/ choice of fresh fruit / jams / tea and coffee / eggs to order with hot toast. They have a separate dining area which you share with other in-house guests. Sprawling gardens where you see all kinds of birds including some peacocks strutting about.We ordered a meal on one occasion and it was very tastefully made with 3 kinds of veg dishes / 1 lentil / 1 non veg dish / rice and rotis / dessert @ Rs.800 per head. 
The staff were extremely helpful. Mr.Siraj looked after everything. We had a late check out so brought our bags down and sat in the Drawing room till we left.We enjoyed our stay and will recommend the venue.
