Hotel Benczur

Brilliant budget hotel, which felt safe, quiet (even with some large school parties staying over we didn’t hear noises from corridors or other rooms). Good room facilities, including mini fridge (no tea or coffee making facilities though), spare pillows and covers. Comfortable bed. Excellent location, especially so for the underground line into the city centre, or a 20 min walk. Half board comes with a set menu, which had a good range for meat and vegetarians. Also some local specials. Food served on a very good evening time range. No set early entry time, so could (and did) eat late afternoon. Latish ending time, well into the evening. Breakfast buffet could do with better labelling, as thought was a bread based creamy vegetable topping in breadcrumbs slice, but turned out the bread base was actually a chicken breast. Rather curious either way, chicken with creamed broccoli slice for breakfast. Good range of food, serving area could get a little cramped, but works well for folk to follow a line from one end of the food offering to the other. Would definitely stay again as excellent value, excellent location and appreciate its not a high star hotel, its a bed for the night and an easy food choice.
