This hotel delivers on everything. A boutique hotel they offered a 600-+ square foot room with large balcony and hammock overlooking a garden and the mountains. Excellent breakfast served on the terrace. Staff and owners are excellent! They arranged a massage for me on the grounds. Have great recommendations and the staff there are excellent. I will most definitely stay here again. Angela and Howard are the owners and Angela’s English is excellent. She would come by and visit and check on the guests in the mornings and drink coffee with me. A very personal touch. I couldn’t not have picked a better place to stay. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was super friendly. I loved that it felt like our own little slice of paradise!

Mom and daughter trip- Bougie boutique on a great budget

The Terramaya Hotel was wonderfully quaint, clean and in a great location three blocks above the main plaza. The staff was very attentive.  The breakfast was wonderful including fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, and eggs made to order.

Quaint, Clean and in a Great Location

We very much enjoyed our two nights stay at TerraMaya! Most of all the staff was super friendly, you could ask them everything and we also got fresh cold towels and home made jamaica lemonades at our arrival! The rooms were also very nice with an incredible view to wake up to! We also got breakfast which was great, fresh orange juices, coffee, bread, eggs, homemade yoghurt and fruit.

Simple and excellent

We loved our 4 nights here!  We had a beautiful, comfortable room with a lovely balcony and hammock. The staff was very friendly and super helpful.  They even brought coffee up to our room for us! Breakfast was delicious every day, and great service. Sometimes Macaws would fly in and land on trees in the courtyard!

The location is great, just a short walk down the hill to the town square. (We took a tuk-tuk to get back uphill!)

This was our first stop on a 17 day trip to Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico, and it really got our trip off to a great start.

The Lovely Terramaya 

We've stayed here many times and the service is great.  The rooms and common are clean, the food delicious, and the staff are attentive to our every need.  Angela helped us make dinner reservations for when we ate out and Howard assisted us in getting reservations at the local hot springs.  I highly recommend staying here.

Amazing hotel

It’s probably one of the best, if not the top one, accomodation option in Copan Ruinas. They offer spacious but cosy, clean and stylish rooms, beautiful open terrace with a nice garden-view, where you can have your breakfast. What’s worth to mention is very friendly and helpful staff, even if they barely speak English, what can be quite common in Honduras, they are easy to communicate with and ready to assist you, whenenever you need. I strongly recommend this place.

Top-notch boutique hotel in Copan Ruinas

My husband picked this hotel because of the free secured parking and online travel reviews.  The hotel indeed is a boutique hotel and is well maintained.  When I walked in, I thought to myself "Wow, this used to be a grand colonial home if not a mansion."  The staff (Paola, Yulissa, Karla, Luis, & Mrs.   Angela) go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant.  We arrived late and the restaurants in town were about to close.  Since our 99 year old grandmother has trouble walking long distances, Ms. Paola suggested for food to be delivered to us.  Ms. Paola provided us a menu and ordered our food.  The second day we ate dinner at a well-known restaurant and became ill.  Yulissa, Karla, and Paola kept us hydrated with mint and ginger organic teas and great food.  Mr. Luis always went out of his way to help us with grandmother.  Mrs. Angela speaks fluent English and is great company.  This is a place we wish to return to as we left here as friends.

A Hidden Gem!

A delightful experience in a quiet beautiful place away from the hustle and bustle of the Copán Ruinas town. The staff were incredibly helpful, and with the help of a translator app could easily communicate in English.

Sitting outside on the terrace having a delicious breakfast looking at the lush gardens and beautiful Honduran hills was a perfect moment.

The hotel is very tastefully decorated with warm Honduran wood features and has bookcases full of helpful local guide books. 

We love the hammock on our balcony, it was very soothing.

An oasis in Copan Ruinas

My 4 days and 3 nights stay in Copan Ruinas was already mapped out before I arrived. However, the moment I entered the magical house and my room (#5), I had to change it and ended up spending more time In the private balcony relaxing and absorbing the sight and sounds, sensations and everything the valley of Copan Ruinas exudes. All of what other reviewers have said, and the five star rating this place has, are all true.

This is it !!!

The hotel was very clean, air conditioning was strong, and plenty of purified water was provided each day. Breakfast was included and consisted of eggs, bread made on the property, and a fruit plate. There was also juice, coffee, and a selection of teas. The hotel front door is locked and you must ring a bell, so it is very safe, although I never felt unsafe in Copan Ruinas. At night there is a guard to let you in.

The owner, Howard, contacted us several times to make sure everything was fine. Our room had a wonderful balcony with a very comfortable hammock and the view was nice. The hotel is located on a hill, but it is very central to both the town, the ruins of Copan, and Macaw Mountain Bird Park. When I come back to Copan I would stay here again.
