This is a fantastic little hotel! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with a sea view from the balcony. The location in Kala Nera on the sea is beautiful and coffee or a meal can be enjoyed at the cafe along the water. Thank you!

A lovely quaint hotel!

After Living my whole life in the USA and traveling most of the world, my husband and I decided to retire in Greece! That was 2 yrs ago.. It is my birthplace anyway. 
But Covid put the brakes on our travel.. just like everyone else. This year we decided to see hidden gems away from what we already know.. the popular islands in the Aegean and Mediterranean.  By chance we picked the small town of Kala Nera about 10 miles away from the city of Volos. We chose the Hotel Pegasus! What a wonderful surprise!  The property is very well maintained, large front terrace and one below by the beach, the Cafe. Beach chairs available as well. The building and the furnishings are elegant and fit the lovely lush environment.  The rooms are clean, comfortable bed, air conditioner, free Internet lovely balcony.  Handicap access.  Elevator. The service was superb! The bartender has vast knowledge of all the European and western cocktails .. The food menu is mostly Cafe style with big variety for breakfast. Whatever they serve it is well prepared and well presented. 
We stayed four nights and we were sorry we didn’t schedule for longer period.  So we will return in a few weeks. 
The hotel is good for couples, families , friends, I am not sure about business. 
We congratulate the proprietor mr. Besdekis for running such a pleasant establishment.

Hotel Pegasus is a hidden gem in the beach town of Kala Nera , near  Volos Greece.  We highly recommend it!

The hotel is ideally located close to beach and tavernas. The rooms are spotless. The staff are very friendly.
 However we were allocated room 202 which is at the rear of the hotel overlooking a car park, 2 other hotels and a building site. The area was exceedingly noisy at all hours. (Bins emptied at 3:0am). 
The bathroom was small and the shower curtain was a nightmare for anyone over 5' 6"" tall. There was a central pivot point in the corner from which radiated metal rods to support the curtain. Unfortunately these rods were only about 65 inches high.
The breakfast was very large but wasteful. The fruit was all rock-hard and inedible. Chocolate croissants were included  but were all foil wrapped as sold in supermarkets. There is a bakery 20 metres down the road where fresh produce could have been purchased.
Lubo, the Sunvil rep was excellent. He was always available when needed and kept us informed of trip bookings etc. at all times.
We enjoyed easy walks to Kiropi and Kala Gatzia, largely through olive groves, with the aid of sketch maps provided by Lubo.
We enjoyed some excellent meals at the Pagasitikos but slow service required a good sense of humour at times.

Good Location but not quite 4 Star

Hotel Pegasus is a nice clean hotel quite basic but in a great location. We had a sea view room but too hot to use the balcony. Bathroom a bit dated with hand held shower attachment and a horrible curtain but very clean. Breakfast was OK but very repetitive over a 2 week stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back to Kala Nera I loved the fact it is unspoilt. Would go self catering next time.

Nice Hotel,Good Location

This hotel is ideally situated on the quiet road running along the beach. The rooms and bathroom are smallish, but kept very clean with comfy pillows and mattresses.  The air con and shower gel are included and there is a lift.  Breakfast is far too large to eat all of it and , although the same thing is dished up daily, there is plenty of choice. The manager and all the staff are charming and I hope to be back before long

Wish I was back there

Kala Nera was the third stop on our two week tour of the Greek Mainland and we stayed 5 nights.
The hotel is located in the centre of the village immediately opposite the small jetty and beach with a good selection of Tavernas, Cafes, Bars and shops in the immediate vicinity.
The Pegasus is a traditional Greek Hotel, clean & comfortable and provided a standard breakfast. However, we could not understand why we were allocated a side room with no view when none of the front sea view rooms were occupied. The hotel has no official car parking facility but there is roadside parking nearby.
Unfortunately the staff at the hotel seem to have lost the necessary energy to provide any adequate service either to hotel guests or to other visitors in their bar and café areas. 
This was our first time in The Pelion and we drove down to Trikeri/Ag Kiriaki one day and round the mountain villages another afternoon. We were charmed by the unspoilt traditional villages and environment. Other days we spent around the beach which was well served by beach bars & cafes and apart from at the weekend was quiet and relaxing.

Good Location, Nice Hotel, Pity about the Service!

Couldn't fault the hotel, staff friendly and helpful, the position was perfect being opposite the small jetty with the fishing boats coming in early in the morning. Breakfast nice but much of the same everyday, very relaxing holiday would go back but not with cosmos, no reps about for any information you might need.
