I stayed at Del Sol Apartments twice this year. Once for Easter, 4 weeks, and again in August/September for 5 weeks. 
Both times were wonderful. 
My host, Sophie, was a kind and thoughtful lady. Nothing is too much trouble for her or her staff. 
The accommodation is simple but very comfortable. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. Del Sol is close, very close, to the sea. There is a pool at the top of the land, and a tennis court too. 
There are restaurants close by and a bar.Not close enough that you can hear them. The walk into town takes around 10/15 minutes, you are spoiled for choice by the many tavernas,
There is a bus service or taxis if you want to spend more money, you can get right up to the other end of the island by using 1 bus! 
I am booked again for next year! Wonderful island!

Wonderful and restful

Great Holiday

We stayed at Del Sol for 3 weeks in July. After a long trip from England, Sophie was waiting for use as the ferry docked in Skopelos and, at the end of the holiday drove us to the ferry again, which saved the cost of two taxi rides.

The standards of cleanliness are very high; towels are changed every other day and bed linen changed twice a week. On each visit the rooms and bathrooms were cleaned. For a self-service apartment, this is excellent.

Sophie was readily available and any problems were quickly sorted (we has a beside lamp that stopped working and it was repaired and returned within a couple of hours).

The location is about 1 Km easy walk from Skopelos town along the bay and there are about 4 restaurants and a very good bar on the way. We particularly liked being able to to walk from Del Sol, across the road and swim in the sea. Consequently, we didn't need to use the pool.

Parking is available in part of the garden and on the road outside. We hired a scooter and there were no problems. The gardens were very well-maintained by an enthusiastic gardener. All the staff were very helpful and cheerful.

We had a great stay and are looking forward to returning in 2023.

A Lovely Place To Stay

(-) poor cleaning: for starters, they clean every 2 days which is challenging for a family with 2 young kids. When they clean, they only do it superficially. No surfaces if you have things and a quick swip of the floor. We felt the need to buy a detol and clean ourselves. When we made a comment to the owner, we were told that if we want more services, we should stay in a 5 star hotel (?!)
Towels were super hard and bedsheets not ironed. 
Our room was spacious, but our kids slept in the hut above kitchen, which was extremely hot. 
Furniture are old, air conditions are old, taps have salt deposit, no drain in the big balcony so water drop on the neighbours, the fridge was not working (they changed it within a day) and internet was very weak. Overall nice facilities but poorly maintained. 
She refused to be paid by card to avoid POS charges and we had to withdraw and pay her in cash. 

Not matching expectations from pics and reviews score

Unfortunately, the generally good experience with Del Sol was ruined in the last day. When I first contacted Sophia, she explained to me that for the last night of our trip we should move to another smaller room in her property keeping the sea view, which was our one and only request. Well, we didn't just move to another hotel, since she had a double booking, but our room didn't have a sea view as asked. She knew this when we first arrived but never informed us so that we can explore other choices in the island. We found out the same morning. Her excuse was that this was just the last day of our trip so it's fine if it's not what we asked. She even considered as a discount the 15euros cheaper room she arranged for us in the hotel nearby which we first saw in the morning of our last day. She said that these things happen with hotels and that we never asked her if the room we would move to, would be in her hotel or not. As if we should think that she can move us to any hotel she wants. She also mentioned that "would you prefer to lie to you that this hotel is also mine?". Such an unreasonable and rude approach to a big mistake by her side.

Very bad management of doublebookings.

Amazing host, always eager to provide information! Del Sol is a great place to stay, in an excellent location, with a super nice swimming pool, everything is clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay

Sophie is the perfect host who makes you feel welcome when she meets you off the ferry. The rooms are in an excellent garden location opposite the sea. I love swimming and able to walk just across the road and into sea. There is also an excellent pool in tranquil surroundings with stunning views over Skopelos Bay.

The apartment are cleaned and serviced with daily towel changes. Sophie speaks excellent English and is always there to help. One of us had a cold and Sophie kindly came round with lemons and ginger.

A Great Holiday

My friend and I booked a room in Takis and we really loved it. The host, Sophie, is charming, helpful and always available. She picked us up when we arrived and dropped us to the port when we left. She gave us some nice advice for restaurants and activities within the island. Thanks to her we discovered a lot of things. The hotel is lovely, there is a big garden with a splendid nature and a beautiful swimming pool on top with a view to the sea. It is a very calm area, very clean and the room was perfect for two, with a lot of nice details. We even had our area to have dinner or breakfast next to the room.
Thanks again Sophie for our lovely stay, it was great meeting you. We wish you a lot of success!

Charming hotel with the best host ever!

We stayed for a week and loved it. The pool area is very nice but we swam al day in the ocean so we didn’t use the pool as much as we wished. It’s close to the town and al the restaurants. It’s ok to swim along the beach right outside but the beaches on the other dide of the island is SO much better.


Ms. Sophie was able to come and meet us in the harbour. The place was just some hundread of meters from the town. The pittoresque town was seen in a best way there from. The place had a wonderful garden with olive trees. We enjoyed staying there a lot. Sea, swimming 70 meters distance from the resort. 

Wonderfull  place almost in the town, at beach and quiet gardenn

Sophie was a great hostess, warm and real.  We loved the little house, especially the bedroom with it's authentic Greek decor.  From the veranda you have a spectacular view of the harbor.  It is close enough to walk to the center of Skopelos but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle.There is a huge open garden which is perfect for kids.  All in all, we really enjoyed it!!!!
