Skiathos Somnia

We have just come home, after staying at this delightful self catering studio apartment complex for two weeks. George and Kikki and the rest of the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, and fresh linens and towels changed daily. I read some of the reviews before coming and the complaints about sun beds being unavailable is sadly true, we noticed a lot of others putting their towels on the beds very early in the morning and leaving the complex and coming back later in the day, to sunbathe. It’s a very family oriented pool, in high season, which was lovely to see families enjoying themselves together with their children, so I you prefer to swim without disruption I would suggest to swim early in the morning or later in the evening. There are lots of great tavernas within a two minute walk and highly recommend bakaliko in the fishing port, or Kavonus in the main port by the ferry terminal. We will definitely be returning soon to the Skiathos Sominia, and already looking at flights and we have only been home hours.
