My wife Anna found this accommodation for a 5 day break to attend a family wedding in a nearby village, and we loved it. 

The whole site has 360 degree views of the mountains and the scenery is just beautiful. But what makes this place truly special, is that you can tell it hasn't been built with profit in mind, it has been built truly out of love for the area and for the potential of the place to exist as a hidden retreat where you can go to appreciate nature and tranquility.

The hotel rooms are very comfortable and are finished to a high standard of quality. But we spent very little time in our room, and the majority of our time was spent sunbathing around the two pools. 

All of the staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome.

We actually got to meet the owner of the hotel, Socrates, who is truly an amazing guy. He spent a lot of his time getting to know us and our family and really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed.

He was really interested in us and our lives, and we got to know all about his plans for the area and some very useful local knowledge. 

We were so pleased that he had so much time for us, and it really made the trip memorable and special. We were treated like family. 

Everything about the location was perfect for us and we are already planning to return as soon as we can. 

Myself and my wife highly recommend Socrates Organic Village, especially if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place where respect for nature is the main philosophy 😀

A real special place

There are 2 organic villages!! One in Kryonéri, Almost at the beach, and one near Meolonghi, further from the beach, but with the pool you see in the pictures. The one in Kryonéri has NO pool. 
Lefteris, the ‘manager’ is the most lovely man in Kryonéri and surroundings. He brought us oranges, melon, grapes from his own garden. Repaired the bikes. And everything with a big smile.
(The house was a little bit dirty...)

There are 2 organic villages!!

We stopped at Socrates Organic Village overnight to break up a long drive back to Athens. It is pretty basic. A little isolated. However, for the price, it did the job as a roof over your head with a taste of the countryside.

Good Layover

We are on a road trip through Greece with friends and our 4-year old. This was our favorite stay! Our daughter got to feed the chickens, swim in the pool, ride a bike, and have fresh eggs and OJ in the morning. The room was very comfortable and the wireless was strong. Great place!

Wonderful stay!

Lovely little group of villas not far from town. Very clean, obvious recent upgrades to everything, well maintained grounds, great pool. Greeted with local fruits, fresh eggs, tea and coffee for us to make in the morning, including Greek varieties. 

Fantastic place

About six little bungalows in the middle of nowhere - must use GPS to arrive. Surrounded with nice mountains, and have nice lawn around the bungalows. It was very windy day. We had Fireplace in our house, and the keeper kindly brought us wood. It was very nice and romantic to burn the wood, though at the end it was a bit stinky in the room, so we had to open windows. Don't expect Breakfast to be served, as promised, but expect several eggs, bread and milk in little fridge. Nice comfortable beds. In the kitchen many things to use for cooking. Shower  as usually in Greece had no curtain, but we managed.  Boat is available, but seems difficult to organize. No sea nearby- must go by bicycle (which is free to take and ride) or car. AND NOW - the SPOOKY part - all village and houses full with small black bugs we saw in our house abut 20, little spiders of several types (about 15 in our hut) and pill bugs which also called roly polies , or doodle bugs (and those were more then 100 for sure).  they all were climbing the walls, walking on the floor etc. during the night several of them even dropped on me from protective veil that was above the parents bed. So, if you not afraid of bugs (which were harmless but many) and like quite romantic place - i would recommend to visit. None from our family regrets - we enjoyed there very much and the bugs - now we have something to remember :)

Great place to stay for bug lovers

My husband discovered and chose this place, we had two friends passing by Greece and wanted to take them close to Delphi, home of the Oracle of Apollo, but we needed to relax too and get away from civilization. It is quite a nice and interesting concept. The owner has made little houses around 40-50 m2, bed area, bathroom, kitchenette, little sitting area, in the middle of an open field. The region around is very beautiful! Around the houses is just an open green field. And you can enjoy a beautiful open view all around. Next to this little "village" ( there are 6 little houses) there is a huge rock formation what we call in France Calanques, a rocky mountain, that ends in the sea.  So we can see the sea and at the other side we can see mountains covered in snow when it is here around 25 degrees! Beautiful view! We are at about 500 m from the sea, the real free sea! Nice small beach, no one was here except us. At a certain point a shepherd passed by with his lambs and They provide bread, cheese, butter, eggs, oranges and grape fruits for breakfast, of course coffee, tea, honey, sugar and all the essentials. They provide also soap and shampoo, towels and covers. If you  need a place to retreat to relax, this is the place to go. You can see the stars at night and you only hear birds in the morning! What a nice music to wake up to. Everything functions with solar power, so you better take your shower in the morning or during the day at least. It is a really beautiful place. I have it a three star because even though it is very beautiful and the people are friendly, it is very difficult to find so we had to ask a lot around to find it, not enough signs around. Unfortunately the finishing in the bathroom is not top. I am not difficult, but when I take a shower I like to have curtains or glass to contain the water. In the bathroom we can see the cables going to the light in the cabinet... Otherwise all is perfect.
