Just wish they had more organization as they did not know I had reservations and moved me. I did get closer to beach however

They did not come to the port as they said they would to pick me up or at least show where the property is, which is impossible to find on your own specially when it's dark. The owner seemed to have serious problems understanding that since I had arrived 2 days later due to the bad weather and ferries being cancelled, which he knew and I had warned him by email, my departure was also postponed 2 days, which were paid for. He made me feel very uncomfortable. And the place was empty in January !! And finally, he tells me that my dog was a problem when he was with me all the time being quiet and calm like always, so they are definitely not pet friendly like they say. I went to another place on the island and it was great, quite a relief. I think that John's rooms should be taken out of Vrbo because it has nothing to do with the general hospitality and friendliness of the Greek Islands which I have known for years.

Disappointing John's Rooms

The bedding was not clean and there were stains on the comforter. The toilet and bathroom also did not appear clean and there was a crack in the toilet seat.The location was not what was explained on the site and was challenging to find the place. The outer part of the place was well kept.John came and met us to let us in. Both my partner and I got a weird feeling as he did not leave our space right away. He also did not know if we had paid ahead or not.

On a 2 week island hopping holiday for 4 people of "senior years". Negotiated a price at the port which he tried to alter when we got to accommodation. We stuck to our guns on our price. Our rooms were clean and well presented, very spacious, quiet and comfortable. We saw John several times on our 3 day stay. He presented us with his home made retsina one evening, he returned us to the port.

Don't understand the negative reviews

Owner was kind enough to be waiting for me at the ferry terminal (he had a sign with my name on it!) and then drove me to the studios, even though I had not made any arrangements for this! He kindly pointed out local shops on the way. Rooms were in great condition and very comfortable. Thank you Mr. John!

Worth it because of owner!

400 m fr.o.m. The centrum. Nice and quiet rooms. Big toilet but no water in main room so ju need to use the bathroom sink. Good beds and nice view fr.o.m. The balcony. The host John pick up us and leave in the Ferry area. The wi-fi

Ok backpacker rooms

I made the mistake of falling for John's hard sell at the port, he was very, very persuasive. At the rooms and after
agreeing on a price he insisted on cash up front. I regret not walking away at this point but again he was very persausive.

Having spent three weeks in Greece paying the same amount for rooms as asked by John I can only say these rooms are well below standard for the price asked.

The cleanliness was awful, the toilet leaked water over the floor, the kitchen cupboard and utensils, glasses, cups etc were filthy.  The last straw for me was no servicing of the room, I do not need or expect clean towels every day but I do at the least expect the bathroom waste bin to be emptied. 

I left after two nights having paid for four, I only saw John once during my stay otherwise the place was completely unattended. Needless to say he was nowhere to be seen when I left.

I found another room for the same price in a more convenient location that was very clean, comfortable and serviced everyday.

Well be low standard!

The rooms are basic but you have all you need for your stay and a great budget option. John and his wife are beautiful people and will help anyway they can do make your stay a happy one. The rooms all have patios and mine overlooked the local little farm yet was only a few minutes to town.

Pleasant complex town and country.

Adequate, but not for longer than three days. One draw back was that there was no sink with water in the studio so you had to use the bathroom for water and washing up.

The studios are in the process of being refurbished and were well equipped compared to others. The location is difficult to find but are signposted from the pharmacy at the crossroads. (The Hotels.com map location is not correct, it is further out of the centre than it suggests)
