Wow what a place!!

We booked the villa Althea, the pictures on the website looked amazing and we were not disappointed!

We were welcomed at the airport by a rep who led us to a small mini bus where we were given a bottle of water each for the short journey to the port.
At the port we were handed over to a small sea taxi and taken to the stunning island of Meganisi! Alexis met us at the other end where we were given our car for the week and clear instructions on how to get the villa!

At the villa we were greeted by the lovely Michael who showed us to our villa and settled us in before leaving us to it!
We had a welcome basket with bread, honey, tea coffee, orange juice, milk in the fridge with butter and all the ingredients we needed to make a Greek salad! 

The views were breathtaking, the villa very well equip and any questions or issues we had Michael was easy to find and always sorted them very quickly! 

The island is probably the most stunning Greek island I’ve been too (I’ve been to a few!!). If you want bars, clubs, sandy beaches, rows of sun beds and hundreds of people then this island is NOT for you!
It is a very unspoilt, not touristy, pretty, natural island. The islanders are very friendly, the port has a variety of restaurants all of them equally as tasty!! Our favourites were Stavros family restaurant and mana! But all of them were lovely! 
The beaches are small, pebbled, stunning little coves, a few with beach bars and sunbeds! We also hired a boat for the day and went round the whole island which was great fun!!

We will definitely be using Ionian and Aegean Holidays again!

Only one negative which would not stop us using them again- we could not find the ace handling rep at Heathrow (despite a phone call) we eventually gave up looking and ended up getting BA to help us as our reference number for the flight was not recognised! Small issue as I said but worth making sure you get a BA reference number if you fly with them not the holiday providers!!

Can’t wait to return!!

Wonderful place, magnificent views. Lovely villa (Althea) with fantastic pool and great outside eating area (despite the wasps!) Tanya who looked after the complex was wonderful, helpful and friendly. Lovely Island but roads !!!!!!!! so drive carefully.Would love to return. We had no Wifi, not sure why it says available.

Peaceful Stay

Just returned from a week here, not much info online before I booked so just sharing my experience. Firstly, the location and views are simply stunning. Despite going in August it was very peaceful, even though all the villas were occupied. There is plenty of privacy and the villas do not really overlook each other. They are built in a row up a very steep hill. The first and fifth are 1 bed, the rest are 2 bed, I think the 2nd, 3rd & 4th villas moving up from the beach have the best settings. There are 2 small pebble beaches within a few mins walk, you need to drive to shops and tavernas (5-10 mins). We stayed in a 1 bed (Myrtia) but I would recommend you book a 2 bed if you can. The villa was very compact, the bedroom was tiny with very little space for clothes etc but the main issue was that there was only A/C in the living area (2 beds have it in both bedrooms and the living room). We had a clumsy door/partition between the bedroom and living space that we had to try and prop open to get any cool air. However, the outside space & pool were both spacious and as long as you have good weather what else do you need! Despite the slight negatives with the villa I would definitely go again but would try for a 2 bed, but the 1 bed would be fine as long as you don't expect too much storage space or go when it is roasting outside!

Stunning location - very peaceful

We stayed in the one bedroom villa here for one week at the end of June/early July and had a lovely quiet time.  If possible we try to book holidays that offer us complete privacy, our own pool and peace and quiet; in most respects, this place met our expectations.  What we didn't expect was that our villa had living accommodation below it where the owner, his wife and their baby daughter were staying.  The owner would come and go all day in his car and we heard the baby crying a lot (judging by her age she was probably teething).  So, we felt rather miffed that we'd paid for sole occupancy of a building but had to put up with intrusive noise below.
On returning to the UK we sent a complaint to our tour operator and they couldn't have handled our complaint better.  We received an apology, a promise to address this with the owner of the property, a cheque and a hamper.  When companies address complaints this well, I am full of admiration and it makes me more likely to use their services again.
With regard to the villa, when we stayed there it was new and beautifully decorated.  The styling is fresh, clean and calm but also very homely with everything you would need for a week or two.  The view is just stunning!  I loved sitting outside in the morning with a bowl of Greek yoghurt and a cuppa, watching super-yachts pass by on the most incredibly blue sea - you only see this particular shade of blue around the Greek Islands.  It's one of those places where you just want to sit and stare.  Or you can lean over the edge of the infinity pool and stare.  Or lie on a sun-lounger at night under a starlit sky and stare....
Just gorgeous!  I fully recommend it to like-minded people who want to do very little and detox the mind.

Private, intimate with an exceptionally beautiful view

Although my review says September 16 we stayed in July 16. Fell in love with the island straight away.

The villas are nice out was the top one on the hill, only down side was the one bed below us was a building site, nevertheless the views from our pool were stunning.

Remote location so be prepared to drive to Vathy for dinner was the only down side. 

We are back for 2018 but a Villa the harbour 

Beautiful 

We took the one bed villa but discovered the caretaker was living in a basement under the villa. Everything was great apart from that but it was in no way private.
The location is excellent and the views are stunning. Small Taverna a few minutes away with good food, main town is ten minutes by quad bike. 
Second visit for us to Meganisi and we love the place but having someone living under you was quite disconcerting.

the view is perfect!
you can gaze all day the boats that are coming and go to the island
The place is really picturistic!
Our kids enjoyed so much playing at the pool until night!
It is a good choice for couples or families who want luxury and relaxing time when going on holiday!
