Fantastic friendly family run apartments. These are clean, well equipped and comfortable. Pool & area very clean and plenty of sun beds. Good location for 3 beaches and on a direct bus route to Chania, which run from early morning till 11.30 at night.  Supermarket and bakery very close.  Not an area for those wanting music bars or nightclubs but many restaurants and tavernas near by to while away the evenings. Having said that we ate at the onsite poolside restaurant  3 times as the food is lovely, mama’s baklava must be best we have had. The staff members were all extremely friendly and helpful and helped make our holiday so enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to anybody wanting a nice relaxing, quiet(ish), holiday.

Ridiculous behavior from an unprofessional “owner – manager”! We had booked two rooms with four beds each, for two families of four persons each, for four days during mid August. We had booked 3 months in advance just to be sure we had accommodation during high season!
We had no annoyance for three months, until three hours before check-in, as we were driving to the “hotel”. The owner called us and informed us that according to his policy we should pay him 50 € per family per day (200 € per family in total) because we left blank the ages of the children in the booking form (although the rooms were booked with four beds)! We tried to explain him that was a simple mistake with no intention of fooling anyone, and that it is something common in previous on line reservations we had done with other establishments through the same site. He reacted angrily, said it is not his problem and just demanded the extra money with the threat that if we don’t give him the money he won’t let the children inside the room!!
By the time the discussions with the other family were over, in order to inform them for the threatening demand of the owner, we had reached the “hotel”. We tried find a solution by talking face to face, but he was avoiding us. So we tried by contacting the site of the reservation. They tried to intervene in order to find a solution, but that just made him more angry, and so he cancelled the whole booking without telling us anything other than that he didn’t liked customers like us!!!!
We found ourselves with no rooms in the middle of August, two families of four because we didn’t accept the extra charge happily! Because everything happens for a reason, everything turned out fine, and we had the best vacations for years. But what it is important, is for as many people to know what to expect from this “hotel”.
If you feel you deserve to be treated as € go ahead!

As cov19 drained us all, last min i needed to re fresh so my visit to chania was a must,upon arrival to my hotel jechrina i was greeted so sincere by Mama.. as time went the family run hotel, gerasimos the son gave me a true welcoming to my apartment and made sure i have a Vip service🙏
Following a true guide to things and places i wanted to see, as my solo visit here , he took the time to arrange my tours . Over lunch with a beer , value for money, indeed,and i truely thank you all for making my stay so special

Home away from home

We spent five nights here in a room with a balcony view of the pool area, I would recommend these rooms as they are quieter and have a better view than the street facing rooms. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with a kitchenette, so you could make small meals and snacks - the housekeeper works very hard everyday and keeps the rooms immaculate. The owners and staff are all very friendly and helpful, I dealt mainly with Gerry who cannot be faulted for his work and service ethic( this is true of all the staff). We only ate here once, as we traveled around quite a bit - but what we had was good fare. We did notice that the restaurant was always busy at night. The whole aspect of Jechrina is superb and it is not overly expensive to stay. The pool and bar area are very clean and we spent many an hour in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Well what can we say but just an Amazing relaxing Holiday in a very nice apartment with a superb pool and restaurant. Mama Yanna and pops , with the ever so polite and attentive Gerry running the restaurant with his girlfriend Veronica. It was our first holiday in over 3 years and 8 months. It was well worth the wait !! They all make you feel so welcome and the food is an absolute must !! It was so relaxing at the restaurant and the resort. We met lots of very nice people and have been invited to stay in France , York and Denmark, I think because we were so just relaxed staying there. I highly recommend this resort. Also a massive thank you to Tatiana our chamber maid who Literally worked her socks off !!

Jechrina Apartments Chania crete

Had a very relaxing week's stay here in this family run accomadation .It is kept spotless rooms are cleaned every day  it has  great  facilities especially the large pool which is 22 metres end to end great for a spot of swimming training first thing in the morning .Loved Mama's cooking and the always attentive Gerry , had dinner there on two occasions .Roots restaurant next door is excellent . Jechrina  is located just a 2 minute walk from the blue flag beach . For the independant traveller getting there is so easy  .There is a bus every 30 minutes from the airport to Chania bus station  last bus (11.45 pm ) cost €2.50 . Once there come out of the  bus station turn right and cross the street onto the main square where you catch the # 21 bus cost €1.20 . ask to get off at the Penny Market bus stop takes about 25 minutes ,Jechrina is 150 metres straight down the street ... believe me its vey easy to do .Would 
recommend Jechrina ,
we will be back .Thanks again to Gerry and family and staff .

Excellent

This is the second time we stayed at Jechrina hotel during our holiday on Crete.

The staff is very kind and the food is the best we had on the island.

The rooms are cleaned every day and the location of the hotel is also good.
The swimming pool is big enough for everybody and all day sun!

You can take the local bus to Chania and the beach is only 2 minutes away on foot.
 
The prices are also good compared to other hotels. 



Wonderfull

I am going to start this review with saying that I am extremely fussy when it comes to choosing hotels.  They have to have an excellent star rating and be spotlessly clean.  So when my husband booked this 2 star hotel I wasn't too sure to be honest.

However, from the moment we pulled into the car park until the moment we left the hospitality of is family run hotel is absolutely amazing.  We were greeted by Jerry who was so welcoming as was Mama and Papa who we were introduced to.

Our room was on the first floor, as we had requested, and was spacious and spotlessly clean.  The bed was massive and so comfortable with rose petal scattered on it on arrival.

The bathroom had a modern shower, which could be placed on a high or low holder.  The water was nice and hot and there was plenty of it. 

The living area was spacious with a table and chairs and sofa.  The kitchen had all the plates, cups etc you would need to prepare breakfast and lunch and there was also a fridge.

The maid service was daily and towels were changed every second day and sheets every four days.  

We had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool, which has a table and chairs on it.

There is a proper hairdryer at the proper which allows you to blow dry your hair rather than one of these silly ones you get in the bathroom that's just dries it.

The pool is lovely and much bigger than I expected for a smaller hotel.  There are plenty of sun loungers too.  

The hotel has a restaurant and bar which is very popular.  It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The hotel is ideally placed for amazing beaches and Chania town and Old Town is a ten minute bus ride away.  Tickets cost 2 euros each on the bus or 1.20 euros if bought in advance.

I have to say that the accomodation was so nice and excellent value for money but was makes this hotel so special is the family that run it.  They are so welcoming and seem to genuinely care about their guests.  Nothing is too much trouble and they will go out of their way to ensure you are happy.

We have fallen in love with Chania and will definitely return to the area and this hotel.

What can I say.

Small, well-run and very friendly apartments in a great location. And the food is very good too. Gerry and the rest of the family make you feel very welcome. Of course you can spend a lot more on a more luxurious hotel - but this will do us every time! Hope to see you again.

Lovely family-run apartments

This Taverna/apartment complex is not a run of the mill holiday resort!!! It is a 10 minute car (or bus) distance fron Charnia Main Town. Which makes it a lot less crowded . It has a bonnus, that if you wanted a beach holiday, there is a beautiful sandy beach 5 minutes walk from the back gate of the apartments. This is a very clean, smart and friendly hotel.... apartments , which are plenty big enough for 2. The bedroom is large, as is the living room. It has 2 little electric hobs to cook beakfast (or more) if needed. There is a balcony to sit out, which to me is a bonus. The family are lovely, the food in the restaurant is excellent, (home cooked by Mama) .....Try Mama's Chicken in Crete style... excellent !!!
