Guesthouse Papastathis

We visited the guesthouse Papastathi at the beginning of October with my parents and a family friend. We had 3 gorgeous rooms with balconies and breathtaking view to the Meteora monastries. All rooms were spotless clean and very quiet. The breakfast was also very rich and I loved the Greek yoghurt with the honey. The owner Mrs. Papastathi is the star! Very polite, helpful and careful with the guests. If we visit Meteora in the future, we are definitely going to stay in Kastraki and at this guesthouse again. 

Everything about this little guesthouse is special and the owner could not have been more helpful. Lovely room with a  view of the Meteora. Breakfast was good and there was opportunities to buy hot and cold drinks also throughout the day. Also a bonus of a small fridge in our room.

Quant guesthouse conveniently located in Kastraki.  The owner was so welcoming & attentive giving us bottles of water as our rooms were made ready.  The rooms are small but well maintained.  The rooms had balconies which afforded a wonderful view of the nearby rock formations.  Rooms have air conditioning. The hotel is kept very clean.     Breakfast is served both inside and outside (small courtyard at the front ).  Good breakfast with bread 🍞 , jams 🍇 , coffee ☕️ (very tasty) , a hardboiled egg 🥚,  & yoghurt.  The owner also gave great recommendations on nearby tavernas & stores.

The Guesthouse Papastathis is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Meteora.  The closest accommodation to the first monastery, our comfortable room had a wrap around balcony with a lovely view.  Constantina works very hard to make her guests feel at home in her authentic country guesthouse.

The Guest House is lovely. We have never stayed at a cleaner place. The room had a balcony on 2 sides & we had the most wonderful view of the Meteora. The rooms are lovely & cleaned every day. The breakfast was really good & just the thing to start your day with. The couple who run the guest house are so kind & helpful. They told us about another monastery which only re opened last year. We visited this & it was wonderful. There are restaurants close by only a short walk away. A brilliant location. A wonderful experience staying here. We had a week here. Parking good & a lovely front patio to the property where you could sit with a drink. I would really recommend staying here.

We were. Ade very welcome, room had all you needed, including a balcony looking over the rocks. Nice front patio to sit and have a drink. Husband and wife happy to serve you, just ring the bell if you need them by the reception desk. Shower room small but adequate, we stayed three nights and were very pleased with our stay

The place is run by a sweet Greek/German couple as I recall. The breakfast wasn't buffet but was tasty and more than enough. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a corner room which I assume is one of the best. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. Free parking was a good option and WiFi worked well. Anything I will say about Papastathis will be positive, definitely would stay there in our next Meteora trip. :)

Let me start by saying that I have no bad things to say about this guesthouse. Everything was absolutely perfect, you get what you pay for, a simple place to stay and sleep. Do not expect luxury, because afterall, you should be there to explore Meteora! The guesthouse is the closest property to the monasteries, making it extremely convenient to start your journey. The owners were incredibly kind, they helped us arrange for a car rental, helped us in every way they could, and even rode with us at 4 in the morning to drop us off at the train station. I could not say enough good things about them. All in all, I would highly recommend you to stay here on your trip to Meteora which in my opinion, is one of the most wonderful and magical places on earth.

Perfect place to stay if you are visiting the monasteries in Meteora. My cousin and I stayed here for just a night while we visited the monasteries and it was just right. Great hospitality from the hosts (husband, wife and daughter). Rooms were spotlessly clean, good quality wooden furniture, with a shower, just what we needed to rest, and with a great balcony view. Breakfast was great with everything we needed to get our day started. Yogurt, ham and cheese sandwiches, freshly made coffee and tea, great jams and jelly.  All served with a warm smile and warm greeting. The breakfast costs 5 euro per person, very good price for value! 
Very nice and kind hosts. The location is perfect, only 200m walk from the monastery of St. Nicolas, with free parking and very close to the centre of Kastraki. 
In a nut shell, the hosts have and offer a combination of Greek hospitality with a Swiss touch and professionalism. I recommend this guest house without any hesitation.
