Such a lovely holiday destination. Yiannis and Alexandre are so attentive. Lovely clean pool, plenty of room for everyone. Rooms clean, basic Greek accommodation, but fantastic. gallisas a lovely town. Easy bus links. 

The most loveliest place to stay 

My beautiful wife and I went to Syros for the weekend of Easter. We live and work on the island of Mykonos. I would like to start off by saying that my experience was one of the best Easter’s I’ve ever had. So we get to Galissas Studios with Gianni’s which had picked us up from a local bar close by, we are immediately greeted by Alexandra which is a Queen in her own right, my wife and I where shown a wonderful room , clean as can be, and all the amenities needed… as we walked out of the room we ran into vibrant colors of the plant life on the property, especially liked the fresh oregano…. Mr. Giannis says it’s all Alexandra’s doing..So on Easter Day our gracious hosts invited us to their Easter party, Lamb on the spit, with all the trimmings, even before the lamb Was ready everyone there took very good care of us, giving us plates of food with things like sausage perfectly grilled by Mr Stelios and so much more, wine and the best Greek music by the one and only Giannis ….Needless to say my wife and I had the time of our lives…….
Hospitality at its finest…… warmth and a feeling of being taken CARE OF, truly an unexpected and unforgettable experience…. Thanks to Giannis and Alexandra for the wonderful hospitality……..

The Best Experience Ever

These are the best ever studios and apartments in all of Greece 🇬🇷 with the best friendliness owners plus super clean with excellent pool and gardens. We stayed for a month in May 2022, plus we were here in August, September 2020 and 2021 in fact have been visiting since 2013 and sometimes twice a year.

If you want peace and quiet and no stress in a lovely Greek village beside the sea then Galassis is the place. 

I prefer normally not to write reviews about Galassis Studios in case it gets to busy we have been travelling to Greece for 30 years and this is the best kept secret.

Best ever Galassis Studios Syros Greece

Rooms very clean and tidy. Pool area gas lots of loungers. Rooms are cleaned daily, plus fresh towels. Hosts are very accomdating will help with anything but will also leave you alone of you want. Hsve bben given frwsh bottled water, bowl of apricots andca cucumber from thier garden

Excellent hosts and accomodation. Good value fir money

Picturesque and quiet, ideal for a relaxing stay. Yannis, Alexandra and Anna Maria made our holiday unique. Highly recommended for those who need an escape from stress. Thank you for everything, we will be back for sure.

An Excellent Resort

We had great time at the easter celebrations at this place. The hostess, Mrs Alexanda was the best. Our room was super clean, quiet and comfortable. Hot water , aircondition, kitchen, a cafe nearby, all you could ask for. Ah, and the pool too was reaaly nice!

Best easter ever!

we had a ground floor room, very dark, but clean and comfortable. quiet place to stay, but unfortunately we went to early in the season and only a couple of restaurants open, the one Greek place was shut , although the best place to eat was the gyros place next to the bar run by his brother,very friendly. I would not go again to Syros, Olympic spoilt what was to be we thought a wonderful holiday on an island we hadn't been to before,the flight times are not early enough to make the ferry so had to stay in hotel for the night, then low and behold weather too bad to sail the following day! not good enough Olympic! was also told that it was likely we might return to Mykonos a day early, again because of the ferry times! as it happened this did not happen to us, Yiannis arranged the fast ferry for us, ok it was early morning, but meant we had plenty of time at the airport to chill! so be warned, if you travel with Olympic from Manchester you might not get your whole holiday on Syros! and also would not recommend to go in May.

pretty and well looked after

My husband, myself and adult daughter stayed at Galissas Studios 30th June to 14th July. In the 35 odd years we have been coming to Greece, the studio was the best one we have had! We were right opposite the pool, the studio was spotlessly clean, well appointed (kettle, coffee maker, safe and air con included) the beds were quite comfortable- Greece being well known for the fairly hard beds usually supplied. Another plus for us was the third bed in the studio was a proper bed! Virtually every other studio has provided a sofa bed, ok for a child but not an adult, Towels were changed every 2 days and the beds remade. Very pleased with the studio and Yiannis and his wife Alexandra are lovely and obviously very proud of their business, as they deserve to be. Special mention too to Vangelita who works so hard cleaning and organising the rooms.
The pool was the warmest ever and a big plus for us, no pool bar, so peace and quiet. Many places shade and sun to eat, so 5 mins to supermarket and giros pitta and back to eat. There are flowers, bougainvillea and passion flower everywhere, and palm trees. Communal area clean and beautiful. Would heartily recommend.
Beach sandy and shallow and 5 minutes away. Bus stop 5 mins and buses very reliable to and from Ermopouli, the capital. We came to Syros in 2008 and stayed at The Dolphin bay hotel. We had a wonderful time but Galissas Studios are much more beautiful.
Downside, and minor shame......when we visited before there were quite a few more tavernas. The only really Greek tavern is Savas, which we loved, but very little other choice now, sadly. All in all, brilliant time.

Best apartments we have stayed in!

We booked a 2 week holliday on Syros, through Olympic Holidays, staying at Galissas Apartments from 6th to 20th July.

It is ideally situated in a quiet location about 50 metres from the bars, cafes, tavernas, supermarket and Galissas Beach. It aslo had a pool with sunbeds around it, a real sun trap, and relaxing and quiet. There was also comfortable seating with tables around the pool and grounds.

We hired a car for a week, from Alpha Rent a Car, so it was really good to have a relaxing dip in the pool on our return to the accommodation having been out and about all day. The pool and pool area were very clean and well maintained.

Our first floor room(number 17) had air-conditioning and a safe all provided at no extra charge. There was crockery, china and glassware, pots and pans, all the equipment required for guests who wished to self cater.

There was a secluded terrace/balcony with sun loungers which was shrouded by a beautiful purple coloured bougainvillea.

Amazingly our accommodation was cleaned every day by a really nice friendly lady and our bedding was regularly changed. Yannis and his wife Alexandria, were friendly and welcoming.

It is a long day travelling to get here, going home is not so bad (both EasyJet flights reviewed separately) but it was all worth it as we had a wonderful holiday here, certainly would recommend it

Superb holiday accommodation

Had two wonderful weeks in Galissas studios. Rooms were equipped with the essentials. I’m not gonna cook banquet feasts on my hols. Things like soap in the bathroom,  liquid in the kitchen were a nice touch. Not been anywhere in Greece and had my bedding changed and room cleaned everyday before. Kept spotless.  Pool area was always clean and very relaxed and a total sun trap. We had three days of wind and it was a godsend. No matter what time of the day it was , you could always get a sunbed . Gardens had some nice flowers and strong smelling herbs. Rules on the wall  regarding the pooI are just a polite request to respect other guests. Some children played , jumping in out of the pool. But they were just having fun. I would  recommend these apartments to anyone wishing for a quiet , serene ,and stress free holiday in  good surroundings.
Our outbound journey with Olympic was hit and miss.  You may have to accept to be left for a while in Mykonos new port . You can leave your cases at the old port in a safe place. If only we'd known. Otherwise you have to get a water taxi , together with your cases into town. Be prepared for a shock with Mykonos taverna prices.
