We come here for the gourmet food more than once every year. 
Mr Karr is a fabulous cook and his wife the gifted room designer and caring hotelier. If you love Lake Constance he location is perfect for experiencing the area. 

Hidden gem

This is a nice little hotel situated in a good spot to walk to all that Langenargen has to offer (which isn't a ton but it's a nice town).  The parking is right out front so that was certainly convenient.  There is no elevator so if you have heavy suitcases or issues walking a lot of stairs then ask for a lower room.  The bed was comfy and the room was a nice size.  We didn't eat in the restaurant although I'm sorry we didn't because where we did eat the food wasn't great, and the food at Karr looked quite nice.  After going out we stopped back in and had a beer in their small bar; the waiter was pleasant and accommodating.  We also had breakfast at the hotel and it was pretty much the usual; it was a continental but they did offer an egg and a ham and cheese plate.  So, overall it was a good value and a fine experience.

Nice Room and a good value

a very high quality food and service in a "standard" hotel, in a nice touristic town on banks of Bedensee lake.   High quality local fish! very friendly and professional service. the owner is also the chef!
