incredibly pleasant atmosphere and friendly hosts, plus a beautiful view from the window to the mountains.
very clean in the room and in the bathroom - the first thing I noticed, this is important for me. it was very quiet at night. we had a very good rest here

We spent three nights here. Great hosts, great room and a quiet environment. Short walk from the center but we didn’t even had to walk there when we arrived. Lasha picked us up in city center and brought us with our suitcase to the hotel. Right away he apologized for little mess in front because there are building new stay beside but it didn’t bother us at all.

Wow what a place! Food and drink excellent. Staff very friendly. Can you get a better view from a bar? Really nice evening here. Log fire going, food cooking and peach chacha! Absolutely fantastic place. Mestia is the best.

Fantastic

This place is off the beaten path a bit but the food was good. Worth the short walk from the tourist center if you want some good Chashushuli (Ostri). 

They looked new and also had nice clean facilities.

Finding a place to stay in Mestia is not difficult - winter tourism very new here so really good value whether you're here for skiimg or just a winter break.

Can recommend Nino Rattiani's guest house - 25 clean and comfortable rooms, all facilties including evening meals in dining room/lounge

Nino's Guest House is more like a hotel! The original guest house (6 rooms) now added two more purpose built houses so there are 25 rooms available of differing size and facilties to suit all guests from single rooms to larger family rooms.

Over 90 "excellent" reviews on Trip Advisor  about Nino's but sufficient to say they are all correct!!

The hospitality and friendliness of Nino and her staff is fantastic - nothing is too much trouble and Nino ensures, personally,  that all guests are looked after. 

The rooms arr very clean and warm and the downstairs dining area is a great place to "wind down" after a hard days skiing or walking. Great evening meal and breakfasts available (optional) and only 10" walk to the centre of Mestia for even wider choice of bars/cafes/retaurants all wothin easy walking distance of each other.

The tourist office in the centre a great source of information (Thanks Irma!) and for your transportation in and arpund Mestia, contact 'Giga' at Guest House Kaldani - a great coordinator of taxis, minibuses, transfers to/from Mestia Airport. Fantastic "customer service"!!

From UK flew with Wizzair to Vilnius on a Saturday, 5 hours at airport then flight directly to Kutaisi (all for €30!!). Plan ahead to get cheap deals!!  Mon and Fri Vanillasky operate a 17 seater plane between Mestia and Kutaisi (€15 each way for 30" flight!) but beware - in winter may be cancelled at short notice due to weather conditions. 

Alternatively 0800 mini bus to Kutaisi (5hrs) and Zugdidi (2hrs approx).

Ski equipment hire for €10 a day in Mestia,    HATSVALI lift 8km away (€7 with "Giga" including return trip) - TETNULDI about 45" away but "new" resort with four lifts and greater choice of pistes (€15 return!!). Lift day passes €10 a day and so few people during week its like you are alone on the mountain. Great restaurant at both places but restaurant at top of lift in HATSVALI especially great with fantastic mountain views!

Back to Ninos for a great evening and comfortable sleep with WiFi anf Internet in all rooms.  What great value for a winter ski break!!  Winter ski tourism just beginning here in Mestia so virtually unspoilt and "real" Georgian hospitality at its best.

Back to Kutaisi and 0635 flight to Budapest, 5 hrs to change planes then on to Birmingham (arr 1700) - or London, train direct to Doncaster and will be home by 2000!!!

Not bad - 3,400 km in one day with both Wizzair flights coming to €50. Don't forget Georgia is 4 hrs ahead of UK time in winter!!

Mestia is really nice place to visit . Here you will be able to see natural nature and great views on Svaneti mountain , old and nice Svanuri Koshki , taste great Svan food and fresh air . You should definite visit Svaneti ...
