I cannot recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough, it was outstanding.  We were unsure whether we had the correct address when we drove to the house as it is located on a housing estate just outside the town, but once we found it, we were very happy.  There is free parking and also free WiFi.  The house is beautiful and it all looks very newly decorated.  The hostess lives in an adjoining house next door and she was extremely friendly and welcoming.  Our bedroom was huge and was very warm and comfortable with lovely views of both the front and back gardens.  The decor was stylish and fitted perfectly with the style of the house.  The bathroom looked brand new and everything was extremely clean and tidy.  There was also a small living room and kitchen downstairs which you could use in the evening if you wanted to.  The hostess provided breakfast the following morning and this was included at no extra cost and comprised croissants, French bread, homemade jam and apple compote, plus fresh coffee or tea.  The hostess was lovely and chatted to us over breakfast.  She did not really speak any English (which I prefer so I can practice my French).  Just for information, you can pay by card if you do not have cash as there was a card machine there.  The whole experience was wonderful and we will most definitely be staying there again in the future.

Excellent Stay at La Maison D'a Cote

Just fabulous, the best bed and breakfast stay that I have ever experienced. The room was amazing and the hostess outstanding. Just lovely, nothing was ever a bother. The atmosphere at this boutique bed and breakfast was relaxing and truly inviting. The breakfast was outstanding.

What a lovely place to stay, hidden at the rear of a housing estate this old building has been renovated to a high standard but still retaining some of the period features. The owner is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was smashing. Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant

Stayed at this beautiful quiet location close to Alencon Our bedroom was large & very clean with a lovely modern bathroom & windows to both sides of the pretty gardens. Couldn't believe we would find this  type of property after driving through a residential housing estate. There is a shared kitchen with Microwave, kettle, coffee, Tea etc which can be used at any time . Our Host (who spoke good English) provided a delicious breakfast of many local breads & croissant served at a communal table next to the kitchen or in the garden,  weather permitting. There is also a communal sitting room which I am sure would be very inviting during the Winter with the open fire. We were recommended a Restaurant in Alencon (a 5min drive away) but after visiting the Square for a drink overlooking the beautiful Cathedral we wandered the streets nearby & found a little Italian Restaurant  called Le San Remo for delicious homemade Lasagne & Pizzas.  Will definitely return to both places next time we are driving from our house in Moraira to the Port at Caen.

Keep this one a secret

At first we thought we'd arrived in the wrong location, but hidden beyond an estate of suburban bungalows was this magnificent 18th-century house, recently restored and modernised by the owners, who live next door in an equally beautiful 17th-century home. The plot includes well-tended gardens and parking areas, well off the road, so there was no noise.
Our room was huge and well-furnished, with a modern bathroom and toilet en suite. Downstairs, off the dining room, was a kitchen which guests could use to make their own drinks. Everything was spotless and our host made us most welcome. She served us a lovely breakfast, which was included in the very reasonable room-rate.
We drove the short distance into town and had dinner at a very good restaurant, recommended by our host. Altogether, this was a delightful experience and we would definitely recommend this chambre d'hôte.
