The Manoir is a big house, almost a castle. Everything is very nicely and thoughtfully decorated. Our room was good and charming with a good bathroom. There is also a sitting room the guests can use. And a garden which is almost a park. The breakfast is good and more than enough. The hostess speaks English very well. We had dinner at La Rose des Sables, we ordered couscous and tajine; it was very good. We also dined at La Gueulardiere and again we were more than happy. And don't forget to walk up to the little chapel in the village. The view from there is amazing.

A lovely two nights in a real manoir. The photos show just what beautiful surroundings you get. Our room was large with a balcony to look over the gardens and falloff character and charm. The lounge and dining room were stupendous. Breakfast was excellent. The friendliness of the hostess was second to none. We felt previliged to stay in such wonderful surroundings.

High quality B&B, the highest standards in every detail, super friendly lady of the house (speaking English very well) and relaxed atmoshpere, wonderful house and wonderful decorated, big lush garden, exceptional good homemade breakfast in castle settings (even more refined than most castle hotels), quiet on the countryside but close to nice little town Vernon and near to Monet gardens. Our best B&B we visited in France, small price concerning the qualtity. Photo's do not right as reality is more beautiful, they should hire a photographer to show all the loverly decorations and details.

It was well worth the 3 hour plus drive from Le Tunnel. Helene our host for the stay greeted us as we arrived. The photos on the web page don't do the property full justice.

We agree with all the previous comments. If you just want to chill out you won't find a more peaceful and beautiful location.

There are many places of interest nearby just ask Helene - she is a fountain of knowledge with regards to the area.

3 night stay at this beautiful guest house

Our hostess, Helene, was charming, speaks fluent English and made us very welcome for our week's stay in Normandy.  We wanted to visit Giverny and to explore the area.  The house is large, traditional and historic.  It certainly is not modern but its location for visiting Giverny is excellent. Helene serves excellent breakfasts, elegant tables and tableware, home cooked cakes every morning, delicious coffee, and a variety of breads, cheese, ham, eggs, croissants and cereals.
Our room was spacious, lovely linens, elegant toiletries in the en-suite.
We were encouraged to use the large lounge in the evening.  I would not hesitate to recommend this if you are contemplating a visit to the area.  Thank you Helene

What a lovely stay in superb surroundings

This B&B can strongly be recommended if you visit the gardens of Monet. It is in a small village just a 20 min drive away. Here you have a really good sleep in confortable beds in an airy room. The building is very beautiful and have a very nice garden. The owner is very professional and make everything comfortable for you. Me myself had the best glutenfree breakfast. Parking is safe in the yard behind gates.

Beautiful envorinment

Historic house and beautiful rooms.
We visited Monet's gardens, 20 minutes' drive from here.
Breakfast is a pleasure with bread, croissants etc and fresh coffee.
There is a kettle with milk and coffee in the bedroom. Excellent!
It is a large house on a corner, but check the photos in the website first because there is no sign, and the road given for the address is very long.
