The hotel has some medium sized rooms between 80 and 135 euros in Thai style, some with private terrace. 

The hotel resort is a spacious complex with lovingly maintained, wonderfully wild vegetation, a small mountain stream with waterfall and ice-cold water and a large swimming pond with a frog- and cigalleconcert at evenings. Unfortunately, the pond did not invited us to swim during our stay, because it is a standing brackish water. The circulation pump and skimmer should be reactivated. 

What motivates the traveler to choose a Thai resort as his home in the middle of the Luberon, the most beautiful area in France? 
Thai cooking seems to be an excellent alternative and a diversion in this region. 
The restaurant "Bamboo-Thai" of the Hostellerie Le Paradou shines with many very freshly prepared dishes from the Thai cuisine, daily extra card, local produce and a very extensive wine list with affordable, outstanding organic wines, not just from the Luberon. 
From the lush digustif card we tasted the very delicious Sabai Sabai (with Mekong-Whiskey). Excellent! 

The hosts (Eric and Meena Bouyer) from Le Paraou Resort are straightforward, very friendly and helpful people. 
The hotel and restaurant team impressed us with their cheerfulness, attention and helpfulness. 
A special thank  goes to Tam and Laurent from "Bamboo Thai" Restaurant.

Excellent alternative and a diversion in this region.

This charming hotel set in the woods just outside Lourmarin is lovely.  Basically furnished but comfortable rooms.  The setting is lovely with a natural swimming pool.  
The restaurant makes this place, wonderful quality Thai food.  The restaurant is buzzing in the evening.  Really enjoyed our stay here

A lot of negative things from some people.  I can understand and I cannot ....

First, about the hotel. Being owned by a French-Thai couple, you cannot expect to find Provence atmosphere. The gardens  are large, the surroundings very nice. Yes there is no pool, it is more a pound.  But that  adds to the Thai surroundings.  Because let's be clear. This is more a Thai restaurant  with rooms, then a hotel. There is no real professional hotel staff, the owners just give you the key of the room.

In summer, there especially in the evening, a lot to do in the restaurant, and sure the hotel is taken care of "in between".  We ate there at noon, but we saw that in the evening the place was packed. Like a lot of restaurants in touristic places, when to much people come at the same time, things can go not as planned and some people could have a long wait. I had a restaurant myself, and how well organised, if you got a lot of bookings, and they arrive at the same time, well this can happen.  Keep in mind that in France personnel, is not payed by tips, but that wedges and social security makes labor very expensive and that in other countries, more staff can be at hand. 

In the week it can be calmer, and things will go well, but on busy days in every restaurant, you can experience this. Would not bother me on holiday. 

The rooms, are ok, they could use to be freshened up a bit, but it is an older house, and there was nothing that really bothered us, except the bed was a bit small. (there are rooms with bigger bed). Mind I think the place is perfect for an overnight, it is not a hotel to spend a week or a holiday. It is not a place you get pampered, except when you ask for Thai massage that was really wonderful.

Now for the food.  Yes for Asian food it is a bit on the expensive side. But it is not more expensive then other ones in Lourmarin. There are  very, expensive one's in this little place. It is an area where just a lot of things are expensive, houses, restaurants and hotels. it is difficult to find a room in a hotel for less also. A lot of hotels charge around 200 €. So the price of the hotel is reasonable for this area.

Another thing that makes the food more expensive, is that the ingredients for Thai kitchen was top notch. This is the real thing, if you not like it, then you never eaten real Thai food.

I was very surprised, some people mentioned inferior beef. The beef I had was prime beef, you usually not find in Asian Kitchens these days. The Prawns, were not cheap (do you know the price of them in Thailand?), but they were enormous. No one serves such a huge one's any more. True, the portion of beef was a bit small, but not of  the Pad Thai that was delicious. 

The Thai lady was very nice and even explained us, how to make the Pad Thai perfect.

If you like Thailand, Thai food, and Thai atmosphere, just want a cozy room, not expect typical Provence atmosphere, then there is nothing wrong here and the Thai food is delicious!

Something different in Provence

Stumbled on this relaxing place and really enjoyed everything. Great place to swim, eat dinner, and relax. A little lush oassis in otherwise dry countryside. Made our visit to the region a pleasant one.

We enjoyed very much the Thai food that is almost same as home and received a warm
welcome from Meena and her husban.we did not like the standard room we booked and were kindly upgrade to a better room.
we keep very good memory of the place and Lourmarin that is very nice and has wonderful
market.
