Excellent stay. 
Laura and Peter were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. I really enjoyed my stay there with my sisters. Laura is a beautiful lady inside and out and enjoyed my little chats with her. I would most definitely highly recommend this hotel. It's also only a 5 minute walk to the shops and grotto . The place is very clean and fresh towels every day. We only had dinner there one evening, but l would highly recommend it. When l return again, l will make sure to have dinner on a few nights. 
Thank you, Laura and Peter. You made my stay one, and l will remember, and l hope to return again with my husband this time. 

Excellent family hotel. 

It was a very wonderful hotel. It gives you a feel of being home. Peter and Laura are wonderful owner. We are so blessed to know this hotel and get to stay here. Will definitely be the only hotel to stay when we visit Lourdes. 

The hotel is simple and clean and peaceful.

All their guest are repeated guest. Especially from the Asia. They really make our stay peaceful and beautiful.

Wonderful hotel like being home

Owner run hotel that provides.a serene oasis to reflect on the experiences of Lourdes apparition and the life of St Bernadette.

After year of extensive experience in the luxury hotel industry, Peter and Laura settled in Lourdes 14 years ago to help pilgrims in their renewal journal.  They distilled their extensive experience to run a home away from home for Ingrid’s balancing quality, cost and care perfectly.

Little details like setting up the taxi and then helping load the luggage show the pilgrim focused care both Peter and Laura provides.

We had one dinner and should have eaten there more.  The local compact sausage was perfectly prepared.  And rice was provided to satiate the craving for food from home (Asia).

The hotel was busy with repeat guest including a group that has been coming for decades!

Pilgrim home away from home!

Even though it is classified as a 2-star hotel, Hotel Calvaire is very clean. What I like about its location is that it is a short walk from the busy area where the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes is. The hotel is also a short walk to the town center.
Laura and Peter are fabulous hosts and hoteliers, always ready to assist us with our queries, etc.  Awesome 5-star service. 
The room is neat with a sparkling clean bathroom. Breakfast is sumptuous and coffee is good (am a sucker for good coffee). 
I would definitely stay at Hotel Calvaire again if I visit Lourdes again. 

5-star Service in Lourdes

The hotel is conveniently located as it is near the grotto and also the city centre.  Also, Laura and Peter were such great hosts.  And dinner was also so delicious!  Would be staying here again when I come back.

An excellent home away from home

Laura and Peter were extremely helpful! They made our stay in Lourdes more special. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was delicious and had good selection. The hotel is also 5-minute walk only to the grotto. Highly recommend to stay here when you're in Lourdes.

Excellent stay

The hotel is close to the river and within a 5-minute walk of the grotto with the help of a lift at the top of the road, reserved for use of residents at certain hotels. 

The room decor is old-fashioned (chairs look like they came for a convent in the 1950's), but spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, plenty of space to hang clothes, daily towel changes, and hot water available at all times of the day. There was a small flatscreeen TV on the wall, but we never turned it on so I don't know what stations it had. The hotel is certainly not luxurious, but all the basics were catered for really well.

We had paid for breakfast but rarely took it due to our work schedule, so they told us when we went to pay that they were reducing our room rate - I never heard of anywhere doing that!

No better value available in Lourdes - will happily return next year.

Fantastic for a French 2*

I stayed in this hotel for a night with a group of pilgrims from Singapore. Hotel is oldish, rooms are basic but very charming and clean. Food is home cooked and the owners (Peter & Laura) sat with me when I was eating bkfast alone -- even though they obviously have plenty of things to do with the hotel full. I asked if I could have a small box they didn't need so I could use it as a foot stool. We were on the bus a lot, the seats were too high for me and my back was starting to hurt. Peter promised he'd give me one. When we were leaving and the reception was a crazy mess with all of us there, I apologetically asked again, sure that he'd forgotten. He disappeared and returned with not just any box but one that was all taped up. He had reinforced it so it would last me for the rest of the trip! So sweet.
When we got on our bus, we found individually-packed, freshly-made fried rice! Aware that we were all rushed and some had skipped lunch to maximise time at the grotto, Laura had prepared Asian lunch to send us on our way! Unbelievable. Thank you soooo much!
