Perfect place to stay for our night stop over in Honfleur. We drove from south west France, received a text message from Villa Ariane with a number to call on arrival so they could open the security gate. We were greeted by the owner who also spoke great English who showed us around and took us to our room. Nothing was too much trouble. The building although still having some slight renovations till complete is full of charm and character. Beautiful room with a balcony.  We walked 10 minutes and were in the old harbour. Secure parking. Breakfast was lovely too, French bread, cheese,ham and Jam. Fresh coffee and orange juice.  We highly recommend Villa Ariane and cant wait to return.

Holiday in France

Outside the gates to the property was already not what we expected and once through  it looked to us like a building site. Windows boarded up and scaffolding with some rubble. My husband looked at the room  but said it was not suitable.   We think it should be made clear that they are doing renovation.  The lady who greeted us was very friendly and helpful.

Very disappointing

A little disappointing no one was around  to meet us on arrival.  The Guest House is still under renovation and the room we stayed in needed work.  The guest house has a lovely living room but unfortunately this was locked so you had nowhere to relax other than your bedroom.  Breakfast was very limited but ok.  Has the potential to be a beautiful place in time.

Not quite what we expected

Do not be put off by the outside! This is a very lovely place to stay. The owners have (and still are) renovating to a high standard. We had a lovely room with a balcony and a very comfortable bed! We will go back.
