Beautiful, safe and quiet property.  Very clean rooms. The hosts are on spot with recommendations in the area. Ideal location.

I found this lovely place on-line and  stayed with my son when we visited for the Rugby World Cup. Although the match was in Marseille we elected to stay here because it was close enough to drive into Marseille but also was very close to Aix en Provence. Aix is beautiful and my son and I did some walking locally as well as visiting the England vs Argentina game.
Philip & Beatrice were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was beautiful and everything worked well and their pool is a great place to cool off at the end of the day.
I cannot recommend Campagne Chastel highly enough!

Great B & B in Provence

We are from Australia & I wanted to stay in a rustic French cottage..... I chose well.  The accommodation was all that I wanted & more.  

Philippe & Beatrice are lovely people.  Philippe’s breakfast is absolutely beautiful.  

The guest rooms were very clean. Bed very comfortable!

10 minute bus ride into Aix-en-Provence 1 euro.  

Would highly recommend this accommodation 💕

The only very very small negative was there was no kettle tea/coffee in the room.... but didn’t spoil our stay!

Beautiful Place

We planned a trip to Aix en Provence and wanted to find somewhere to stay with a pool, and came across Campagne Chastel - we are so pleased to have found it. The property dates back to the late 1700s and is situated just north of Aix in the countryside, 10 minutes by car, and on an easy bus route into town. We are a family of 5, 2 parents and 3 adult daughters, so we booked the apartment - this provided a double, a twin, 2 shower rooms, a sitting room (with up to 2 extra beds) and a kitchen. The apartment was recently renovated and tastefully decorated. The communal grounds provided numerous outdoor sitting areas, and a large, beautiful swimming pool. Although we were self catering, we asked for breakfast each morning (additional charge if you stay in the apartment, but included if you book one of the other rooms available). 
I have given you the basic information of what was provided, however the most important element of this review, is the service provided by the hosts, Philippe and Béatrice. They are exceptional hosts, who spent a lot of time giving us suggestions of where to visit, the best routes to take (scenic, or speedy) depending on where we were going. They know the best restaurants to recommend, where to avoid. They took time to explain the bus route, parking, taxis, best times to visit popular spots. They also enjoyed just sitting and talking, showing us around their beautiful property, including us, but not intruding on our privacy. And the breakfasts - different every time, freshly prepared, were superb.
We would return again and again, to explore more and simply to enjoy Campagne Chastel.
