Myself, my partner, our dog and 2 friends stayed at chalet Ferme Blance for the week on a catered basis. We spent the week snowboarding in La Plagne as the chalet is very close to Montalbert. The hosts Alvaro and Sam are amazing and so welcoming. From the moment we first contacted them by e-mail (best to contact the chalet direct) they were extremely helpful. The chalet is a short 5 minute drive to the lifts in Montalbert and the chalet hosts will drive you there and collect you whatever time you ask in their personal shuttle bus. The chalet is beautifully decorated and kept very clean. We especially loved the huge log burner in the lounge and we also used the hot tub, which was very relaxing. The food was very good and plentiful with breakfast, afternoon cake and a 3 course evening meal. Sam cooked some amazing and very imaginative meals during our stay. They also cater for vegan and gluten free diets. The chalet hosts have 2 days off in the week but we found some lovely restaurants in Montalbert. We loved the fact the chalet is dog friendly. The owners have 2 dogs themselves, which are kept away from guests but they are very friendly, and they were extremely welcoming of our dog. There are some fantastic walks from the chalet. There is also an enclosed garden. Sam and Alvaro can also arrange lift passes, ski hire and lessons if needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend chalet Ferme Blanche as it is a wonderful chalet at a very reasonable price with amazing hosts.

Fantastic Dog Friendly Chalet

It so hard to find vegan food options in the Alps so we were so happy to find this place. And we were not disappointed - the food (breakfast, three course meal and cake) was all GF and vegan and tasted amazing. With different options every day. Sam and Al are the perfect hosts, nothing it too much trouble but their relaxed and chilled style suited us perfectly. It’s a 5 min transfer up to the telecabin with then access to all of the la Plagne and les arcs. The chalet is a perfect mix of traditional and modern. We loved it - especially the bath! 

Couldn’t recommend this more for vegans or anyone who is looking to be more sustainable and thoughtful about the planet!

Amazing vegan chalet!

We stayed at Ferme Blanche for a week’s cycling holiday at the end of August.  The chalet is charming, comfortable and a home away from home, with a lovely terrace where we ate breakfast and dinner, and a peaceful back garden where we had our afternoon tea and cake after tackling the local Tour de France cols.  There is also a secure cellar for bike storage.  Sam and Al are fantastic hosts – friendly and helpful, and fantastic cooks.  I am vegan and was wonderfully well catered for.  Some days I got vegan versions of the meals served to the other guests, and on others I got totally different dishes which must have meant a lot of extra work in the kitchen.  Much of the food and produce was local and/or organic, and we even got desserts made with home-grown fruit.  We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely recommend this chalet for cyclists, walkers and those who love spectacular mountain scenery and home cooked food.

Tour de France cols and amazing food

Just returned from an absolutely unforgettable trip!

The chalet itself is gorgeous. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for the first three nights and there was a bath tub & a fire in the room which was super romantic. It has a rustic, shabby-chic feel with duck egg blue shutters opening out to stunning mountain views. 

As vegans, it's SO difficult to find delicious food in the alps, but clever Sam masterfully cooked up the most amazing three courses every evening, that didn't compromise on indulgence whatsoever. We felt truly spoilt! 

Sam & Alvaro were just lovely and couldn't have done more for us, we missed the last chair lift home on the first night & Alvaro picked us up in his car - and dug our car out of the snow on leaving day. They are super people and they have a lovely dog who comes out for cuddles by the fire. 

We'd thoroughly recommend this chalet to anyone, especially vegetarians or vegans

A little piece of vegan heaven!

Wonderful surroundings in a tiny hamlet.  Wild flower meadows in the summer and perfect for skiers as they have a shuttle service.  The room was lovely.  Cosy and pretty.  We only stayed one night, but would be back in a flash.  Sam and hubby are gracious hosts who have a wealth of information and can't do enough for you.

Simply lovely

We stayed her for one night on 5th July as part of an 18 day trip to France.  We had spent the day travelling for over 7 hours over the Alps on our way up from outskirts of Nice.  The B&B is based in a charming hamlet which is part of a larger ski resort area in the winter months.  It was lovely and peaceful and the views are stunning.  We had a lovely cosy room.  Sam and Alvaro are lovely hosts.  We had a nice drink when we arrived on the terrace and a delicious evening meal.  Breakfast was very good with "Yorkshire Tea" in a teapot which my husband was delighted with!  We had a walk after breakfast to the next willage called Longefoy which is a lovely flat 1 mile walk each way with stunning views and village has a nice hotel/restaurant where we had some lovely coffee before walking back and continuing with our journey.  We would highly recommend this B&B.  Really lovely.

Lovely B&B

Just returned from a fantastic week skiing, staying with a group of friends at la Ferme Blanche. Our hosts, Sam & Alvaro were very hospitable, helpfully arranging for a masseuse to attend the chalet and flexible around timings for dropping us off and picking us up from the slopes. The catering was superb, using locally-sourced and even home-grown food and Sam went out of her way to cater for (separate) veggie & gluten free diets. The chalet is an old farmhouse, converted by Sam and Alvaro themselves and furnished in their own, homely style, with a very efficient wood-burning stove in the living room. The location is in a quiet village about 10 mins drive from Montalbert, which has a new, fast ‘telecabine’ lift and is part of the La Plagne (Paradiski) region.

Hidden Alps - a hidden gem!

A great place to stop on the Route des Grande Alpes.  This idyllic chalet style house in a charming small alpine village gave us a lasting memory of the best qualities of French hospitality - splendid bedroom with the best shower ever; excellent food from local producers; a warm and helpful dedication to service by the hosts. We particularly enjoyed the guest sitting room which was so cosy we deeply regretted having to continue with our journey next day.
