This is review only for restaurant O'las. Soup lunch buffet is good value for money. We had very delicious smoked cheese-reindeer soup & hearty salad table. Can be good alternative for other ski resort restaurants.

Rooms where clean and include all basic things. Room curtains should be better. That can be problem on summer time. Good parking places close room. There where lot of activities close hotel like skiing, swimming etc.

Don’t know about the hotel itself or its rooms, but they also offer chalets. They are nice and modern, room for 4, kitchen and even sauna. Good for families with kids as the second bedroom is rather small. Also good drying equipment for clothes after long day of skiing. We didn’t walk to the skiing slopes but some did (we had a car). Everything is walking distance. Grocery store, restaurants, swimming pool, indoor sport activities. Cross country skiing you can start from the doorstep. For people who like sports holidays in winter.

Chalets for sport holiday 

Perfect location! Accessibly to ski lift by foot. About 10 minutes walk. If lazy to walk in all the boots etc., - 2 minutes drive. Slopes are great. Hotel is nice and cozy. Apartment has absolutely all you need to the very little detail. We like it a lot so far!

This is review of Sport Hotel restaurant.
We've been visiting Sport hotel for lunch and dinner years and years. We've also stayed here many times, either for holiday or e.g. tennis courses since eighties. 
I cant understand what has happened to famous Vuokatti lunch. Year ago all was well, with good quality and interesting variety of food incl. lot of local delicates like rieska and muikut. 
We visited Sport hotel for lunch last week, and now it was nothing alike. Food was low quality, low imagination and borderline tasteless. Salads were very basic. Pasta was in one big chunk. Meat sauce with rice was replicate of school food as I remember it. 
Unfortunate to say but this was simply bad experience. There are lot of cool places to eat in and around Vuokatti and Sotkamo, that still focus on quality and local food. Sport Hotel is nice place with unique history. But recommend to have your meals elsewhere.
