On a street at the back of the town centre with easy access to the town and shops being quite close to the old town square. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk down to the lake where it is far more scenic and in my opinion a much more pleasant area to stay. Our room was very big and basic but was in need of a complete overall. The curtains were thin, an outside light shone in the room and dogs barking close to our room made for a disturbed nights sleep.
The hotel didn’t seem to be able to cope with the demand at breakfast time. I arrived 30 minutes after the 7:30 start to find that most of the food, drinks, cutlery and crockery had gone. Staff were not always around and they didn’t come across as being over friendly.

Must be better options in town.

Disappointing

Well located for everything you might need in Ohrid: the lake, sights, cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarket. Of the 3 nights here, 2 were surprisingly quiet given the hotel's central location. The third, a Saturday night, was noisy but the noise came from hotel guests arriving back at all hours without any thought for others. My room was a decent size, the air conditioning worked well until it started to leak water all over the floor, there was a fridge, extra pillows and international tv channels. Nothing fancy but perfectly acceptable. The hotel is being sold and that may explain the staff's indifference to maintenance issues eg the air con problem and the door handle that kept coming off in my hand were both dismissed with a shrug. Staff morale also seems low. Breakast begins at 7.30am but 2 mornings out of 3 large groups had clearly requested early breakfast. As a result, 7.30am in the breakfast room was quite a scene: nowhere to sit, no clean cups or crockery, no coffee and almost no food. Once the hordes had left and the staff had made some attempt to replenish the food and drink, the coffee was decent and breakfast was OK. The hotel needs a bit of TLC and an improvement in the service but it's not bad.

Hit and miss

Stayed one night on a small group tour. Location very good - 200 metres from town square and pedestrian area. 500 metres from lake and old town. The room we had (302) very large with separate sitting area, fridge, free in room wifi, small TV, aircon and lots of wardrobe space. Considering the size of the room, the shower room was quite small, but adequate. Substantial breakfast although they need a bigger coffee pot!

Good hotel in quiet spot, but close to all amenities

Excellent for seminars

We did not originally plan to stay here but had to switch plans last minute. The price of the room is decent for the area. The hotel was nothing special. It was very convenient for the sights of the city and eating. It was on a busy street but you could not hear the noise with the windows closed. However, any noise in the stairwells could be heard and club goers start coming home at 3:30 a.m. and don't stop slamming doors, laughing and making a racket until 6 a.m. We thought it was ironic that as sound proof as it was from the street noise, the interior noise was awful. This would not be a problem if you intend to go to clubs and come back late. Otherwise there are more charming places to stay in Ohrid.
