Me and my husband have booked 8 nights at Santuario to enjoy our second and last week in Egypt. 
First of all the place is 30 km up north from location that is being shown on airbnb map. We decided to still give it a try even though we found out that it is too far from where we initially wanted to stay. On airbnb map their location is in the city of Marsa Alam and very close to the shore, in reality they are close to a big resort with a private beach to which outsiders are not allowed to go to, or you have to walk for a while till you get access to a public beach. 
On arrival day nobody was home. Our Egyptian driver had to call them and we waited for about half an hour until a worker let us in. The only communication with the host was via the phone. We had an agreement to have breakfast and dinner there for 4€ per person per meal. For lunch we both have got a small plate of French fries, medium size salat, some kind of tahini sauce and two pieces of bread. That's very far from what 8€ per meal can buy you in Egypt, especially a vegan version of it. Me and my husband have traveled Egypt for a weak already so we were well accustomed with quality and services this country could provide and how much they cost. We were quite disappointed how dirty the place was, the host did not prepare at all for our arrival, the bedroom had a layer of dust everywhere, floor tiles on a terrace were broken down and the ground was uneven, easy to trip and fall over. Mosquito nets on the windows had holes and served no purpose at all but to look ugly. 
Overall unpleasant first impression and we left few hours since our arrival. Still had to pay for 2 first nights (due to their cancellation policies, which is our fault of not reading and understanding the well enough beforehand, so beware to cancel before 15:00 to get your money back or read cancellation policies to be sure) but we were very happy to leave that place and never regretted our decision. 
This place is perfect for people that wanna stay in the middle of nowhere, be hugely overcharged for their meals and try to sneak into resorts to use their beach for swimming. Location, atmosphere and food: terrible. Marsa alam has a lot more to offer outside of Santuario. We've got into their trap and we would like to warn future tourists to make sure Satuario is what you are looking for. Their pictures sure look nice but please google map their hotel and see that it is a place you wanna be at.  

The worst experience of the two weeks in Egypt

If you don't like crowded big resorts and you prefer a quite and authentic accommodation, this place is for you ! The house is very nice, clean and modern. The room is nice with AC, a small kitchen, and a big bathroom. The owner and his family are adorable. They were doing everything to make our stay perfect. The food is amazing and quite cheap (5€ per day per person for the breakfast and dinner). It's better than restaurant, and they adapt to your time and taste. The beach is 10 min away by foot, and we had the chance to snorkel with the dugong. We found an amazing dive center called Diving.DE not far away. They pick us up every day to go to diving.
