We recently stayed here for 3 nights as part of our pre-paid holiday in Ecuador. I didn’t choose the lodge but it turned out to be much better than I expected. Very comfortable, spacious rooms with open view, delicious meals and a large pool! The activities they offered were interesting and our kids loved them all. Our guide Luis was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Very good experience, again, first one was back in 2008 as a couple and now with our kid.  Very good organized activities, we took the all included package for 5 days with private transportation and was great.   The resort is good, the food was also very good.  No complaints.

La Casa del Suizo is a lodge located in the Amazon jungle. It is a popular destination for those who want to experience the beauty and nature of the Amazon region on the banks of the Napo River, one of the main tributaries of the Amazon River. It offers a variety of activities from exploring the unique flora and fauna, hikes through the jungle, canoeing on the rivers, visits to local indigenous communities, bird watching, fishing, and much more. The lodge is comfortable, the pool is great, and you can try local foods when they have an Amazon Cooking demonstration of the giant beetle grubs, locally caught fish, fruits, and vegetables.

In some ways Casa del Suizo feels like it is only just in the Amazon proper, but if that’s the case it’s a great destination for a few days on the edge of the jungle. Our chief guide was provided by Journey Latin America and he in turn worked alongside the generally very good local guides, as we visited a shaman, animal sanctuary, local villagers etc. 
In a five day visit (could have been done in four but not less) we felt we got  a real feel for how local indigenous people live, their culture and intimate knowledge of their precious environment.
We were travelling with kids so this place - with its large pool - was perfect for us, but if you’re wanting a bit more hardcore and have a bit more time, you might want to consider other locations further east in the jungle where you may get a more intensive jungle experience, probably with a few less of the child-friendly frills.
Rooms were clean comfortable and spacious, food was good with plenty of choice, and staff were friendly and helpful. 
Fascinating back story to this place, founded by a Swiss guy who started in the area by marketing Coca-Cola to the locals (perhaps not a good thing for protecting traditional ways of life) before setting up this now large camp that is a big employer of local people.

We stayed for 2 nights, although the room did not have air conditioning because it was so humid with the ceiling fan and it was quite a comfortable 20 degrees feels like temperature while we slept
The food was a nice blend of local and American cuisine as we had gluten-free and lactose intolerant in our group. There were options at every meal for everyone.
We found the cost of a large beer at six dollars American, quite reasonable, considering the luxurious aspect of this hotel
I would say you have to be in regionally good shape for this experience since the ride to the hotel is a motorized could do that you’ll have to lift your legs over to get into and there is street ramps for anyone with mobility issues to get to the reception from the dock
The excursions also require getting in and out of the canoe wearing rubber boots and traipsing through the Amazon, so remember your bug spray

This was part of a tour.   The Room I had overlooked the Napo River.  It was loud, but somehow soothing.   No AC (bit there is a nice ceiling fan), No access to Wi-fi in the room (but that was fine for me) but is available in the common areas, like the pool/Bar/restaurant area.  No glass on the windows, just a mesh.   Behind the hotel, through a secuatous exit, there is a small town with an option to visit a butterfly farm and a balsa wood demo (the details of some areas came from the person who made the carvings.

If you are like 99.9 percent of people you will enjoy this property. Whereas you are away from the big city,you still get more than decent accomodations, food that is edible and a bar service that is more than ok. A property that is extremely well kept. Clean areas and rooms that are free from bugs. But the thing that sets this property apart from others is the fact that activities are included. So for your entire stay there will be something to do, every single day. I read a lot of comments about the pool, being dirty. It was not when we were there. Truth be told, you find dead bugs and small debris floating. Given the area where this pool is set I would say is normal. For the rest, all well in our view. Bar prices are normal, specially if you consider that everything needs to be transported to location. Opposed to what some comments mention, it is not expensive. Serves and tour guides do their jobs well. No complains there. Of course there are details that could be improved. But for the most part the experience ends up being the thing you will remember.

Overlooking the Napo River and beautifully designed resort you arrive at via canoe. Experience the wilds in comfort and don’t forget your camera. Friendly and Accommodating staff. Great variety of delicious foods.  Enjoy the outdoors inside your room. Even when it rains it is a beautiful experience.

It's amazing - you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, yet this beautiful, comfortable, well maintained facility is located in the Amazon basin, with all the perks you need.  Great food, amazing staff, wi-fi in the restaurant area, picture perfect views.  We loved it!

This place is as cool as expensive. You are in Ecuador, you are in the Amazon, you are in the jungle and you are in a nice hotel with very nice rooms and a cool pool, but it lacks something and it is not cheap.

The adventures are superb and they are the reason of the 5***** but it breaks my mind that after paying 450usd a night they charge you for a bottle of water at lunch or charge you USD 11 for a drink. Since food is all inclusive, does it make that difference those extra charges??

No AC, no Wifi, no TV at the room which leaves you only one thing to do at nigh.
