My wife and I really enjoyed ،It was a great 💯💯💯And I can tell you and encourage you to go and visit this hotel👍The cleanliness of the rooms was very goodWe felt as if we were the first people to enter the rooms. It was like new rooms and the furniture was elegant. The morning breakfast was delicious and varied, opening the breath to the beholder. The juice was fresh and delicious. The coffee was excellent and refreshing.The most important thing is that the owner of the hotel was very generous and nice in dealing with customers, and the smile never left her beautiful face.We wish you success and prosperity in your work🌷⭐🌷⭐🌷⭐🌷⭐🌷⭐

No table at all so PC rapporting on bed.No TV

4* for Det Bette is pushing it! Apart from being very expensive (everything is in Denmark) our room was at the back of the restaurant up a flight of stairs, no problem with that but it was directly above the constantly open door to the kitchens so the room was always full of cooking smells which made us both queasy after a while so we had to keep it shut even when boiling hot outside. The door to the room was glass with no curtains so at 5am we may as well have been sleeping outside, at 6.30am the food delivery arrived on a loud trolley each morning and from 7am onwards anyone who went in to breakfast through the front door set off a Bing Bong alarm which was constant all morning and evening. The room was cleaned once in the week we stayed, think the sheets could have been changed a few more times than that, although they did change the towels a couple of times. The carpet was like velcro and picked up every bit of dirt so we looked a bit of a mess by the end of the week! The positives? the beds are comfy, the food is good and the ladies who served breakfast were very helpful always. I did see a couple of other rooms, one of which you had to walk through the bathroom to get to... could be a bit intrusive if you need a private moment! Not really impressed for the price, if it had been a 2* I would have accepted it. 

Not exactly 4*

I had been playing the tourist in Denmark for a week and a half.  Then I arrived in Hjørring, where my ancestors lived until the late 1800s, and used it—and Det Bette Hotel—as a vase for exploring my roots.  I had a one-bedroom apartment in an old building, but stylishly furnishes with everything I needed for a week and a half.  For the view from the front to look out over a courtyard, and the view from the back to look onto a churchyard, provided a real European feeling for this American.  The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was good, but the cozy/home-like sense of hygge (which is so important to Danes) was the real value of my stay at Det Bette.  Hjørring is admittedly off of most tourists’ path, but I would highly recommend it, and this hotel.

A very hyggelig vacation

Perfect when you arrive late with the ferry from Norway, nice people and good service. I stayed at the Annex, there were some noise from the street but I slept just fine. Would help with better guidence to the rooms (more signs).
Bed, bathroom and breakfast was just fine, nothing fancy but all you need :) I'll stay here again next time!

Simple and cozy

Had actually booked a single room in the annex - but when I arrived - they gave me a double room in the main building. The room was facing the street - so there was some traffic noice. A friend had a room facing the back yard - much more quiet. There is a steep step to the floor with the rooms - so I you have trouble walking this might not be a good option. The rooms are quite small - but have all you need. Staff is really friendly.

Small, charming but basic

I got one of the rooms in their annex. In the shower the soap dispenser was empty. It's noicy from the street, and the light in the bathroom around the mirror is bad. I will take another hotel the next time.
