came here on a stag weekend, looked at previous reviews prior to going and was slightly worried so and had a couple of places on standby just in case. arrived and was pleasantly surprised.
clean rooms, clean bedding, shared kitchen and shared bathrooms all good (except locks on toilet door broke) but as we were all male on our floor, it wasn't a problem. Friendly and helpful staff. a couple of bars and restaurants in walking distance. TESCO'S of all shops about 50 metres away. Hostel about £10 away form centre of Prague in an Uber Taxi - locals taxi's about £30-£60 depending, so defo use Uber
i would stay again if doing a budget stay in Prague again

cheap and cheerful

I am currently staying here and will check out tomorrow. The Wifi doesn't connect inside the room. I even posted this review sitting in the staircase. The people at the reception are not helpful and are actually kind off rude. A guy from the reception, on my multiple complaints, came with me to the room to check the problem and at the end said we can't do anything ! I said on the internet it shows you have rooms available but they said you have to pay more ! Your wifi doesn't connect, that's not my mistake ! 
Will never at this property again.

We stayed in the hostel Alia for three nights, but it was not good choice because our room located in the fourth floor did not have air-conditioning not even proper windows to open. One of two was broken, and so it was incredibly hot inside. Not good service at all.

"Sauna" room

Only good thing qaout this place is the personell and the price :)
But, that's how it is. Bathrooms are ok, kitchen are badly equipped... (Spoons! Cups! Please!)
But, if you're on a budget, it's ok.
We used it as a place to sleep over, and had only a cofee inside in the morning.

Good price

We had booked this hostel for  a visit with my friends. Also paid for it in advance, but went there and understood that the description in booking.com doesn't fit the reality.It's written 2.5 km from wenceslas square, but actually it depends from which part of wenceclas square. The square is really big and they have mention the edge which is closer to the hostel and still it's not 2.5 km, but 2.8..

The guy at the reception told that they can't reimburse, because it's that very day of the booking. But the thing is that we didn't cancel, we didn't have no-show. We just went there and saw the room and destination that is far, so we didn't stay over night. The guy at the reception said that he will talk to the boss on Monday and will contact. They didn't contact for sure, until we didn't. And they rejected the request. After a long communication booking contacted us,but still didn't give any solution to this. Very disappointed! Will never recommend.

Dissapointed

We was staying at Alia for two nights with two little  kids age of 4 and 6 y.o. , and even despite the noisy neighbors (something unavoidable at a hostel) we loved the hotel. There’s a very cozy room IKEAnic but very nice. Light room with big windows. The residents where very nice and as we asked to be less noisy they shuttled up right in that very moment. The receptionist was very nice too. The patio is nice but my car was too large to fit on the gate even so I could park right in front for free. The access to the center is on the corner as was the supermarket.
