Hostel Melada Dom

We really enjoyed our stay at the Melada Dom Hostel. The hostel is in a great location, the staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean.It was good value for the money.They had everything we needed for our stay in Zadar.

Not really a hostel, but more of a little cosy home. if you are looking for a nice quiet place to spend the night or just to regroup after a big one on the town.
 
 The lady is so kind and helpful, we couldn’t have asked for anything better!
 
 We will be back!

It felt like home

Friendly staff and very clean rooms

this 'hostel' is the upper floor of a 2-storey house with 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Each shower has only one small water heater tank of about 30 Litres which is only enough for one person's shower, and simply not possible to accommodate for the number of beds present.

There is no kitchen or kitchenette in the conventional sense, but a sink, dishwasher and an unplugged stove/range in the foyer. A wine cooler is in place of a fridge. There is no common area.

Dorm rooms are reasonably spacious with two chairs and one small table, and there is enough space on the floor to lay out large backpacks. However the head room is very tight on the lower bunk bed.

Location wise it is unremarkable, but being at an intersection of a semi-major road the traffic noise is loud enough to need closing window even late in the night. Distance wise it is 1.8km/22min walk to old town center, or 2.7km/7 minutes by car to old town Land Gate.

Internet is ADSL2, speed averages about 6-10 Mbps,
