I want to share my EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING experience with this tiny, 4-room hotel so you will not waste your time and money, like I did.

Chateau Physique Hotel Retreat Spa (who came up with THAT name?) sounds and looks really amazing--exactly perfect for me. I really was so excited to make what I thought was a wonderful and unique special discovery in Bogota.

BUT, first of all, their website is down. That should have been my first clue!

Then I called 20 times (long distance from USA) during the day on weekdays. The first 19 calls were all answered by an automatic call attendant and I tried all the possible options (2 for Reservations, 3 for Customer Service and 5 for Sales/Marketing). Not one of the first 19 calls did I ever get to speak to a human. Finally, on the 20th call I spoke to a lady in Reservations and gave her the dates I wanted to stay for 6 nights in December. Then she said something VERY ODD--"I will email you in a few days to let you know if we have a room."  Really? You only have 4 rooms...how hard is it to know if you have one available or not? Then I realized how fishy the whole thing sounded.

Unsurprisingly, I never received the promised email, so I booked Four Seasons Casa Medina which looks quite extraordinary. (Stand by for that review.)

I seriously wonder if this place is about to close or perhaps already has closed and gone out of business. Be very leary about booking through an outside site. They may confirm your room and the hotel could be closed by the time you arrive.

Nevertheless, I'm still a little curious about a hotel which was so peculiarly named Chateau Physique.

CHATEAU PHYSIQUE LOOKS & SOUNDS INCREDIBLE, BUT...

I really liked this small boutique hotel a lot. It says there are 4 suites, though I wouldn't call the room I stayed in a suite by any standard. But my rom was stylish, comfortable and cleverly designed with lots of details. 
I particularly liked the covered terrace which reminded me of southern France. Great space to hang out.What I found off though was that the tables were only cleared some time during the next day. It's not like people were terribly busy.
The staff was fabulous throughout my stay 
The locations is in a very upscale neighbourhood between Zona Rosa and Chapinero, just a few blocks away from the Marriott Hotel. Quite a few good restaurants in the area, nothing really cheap though. Crepes & Waffles is consistently good and inexpensive. For a more upscale dining experience, head to Restaurante Rafael (Peruvian) on Calle 70 or Restaurante Daniel (eclectic) on Calle 73. 
The only small downside was that the hotel interior is an open space with wooden floors, so noise travels easily. Still, I would stay here again.

Little gem in Bogotá

we had lunch at the restaurant terrace . The food is prepared by Gilles, one of the best french chef in Bogota.
The food was very good as the service.
The restaurant installations and amenities are very nice and classy, the ambiance very relaxing
One little problem  : it is pricey !!!

A must-go restaurant in Bogotá

This is an exclusive boutique hotel in Bogota, which we loved. They only have 4 suites, so you know you're going to get personalised service.

It's decorated with a buddha theme with really comfortable foam mattresses and very large spacious rooms. It's perfect for a couple looking for something unique and different in a nice part of the city. It's walking distance to Andino mall and some of the best restaurants in Bogota, like Andres DC, Osaka and Centrale Cevicheria.

Awesome boutique hotel in Bogota

The hotel is well located in the Chico district, walking distance from Centro Andino shopping centre and Zona Rosa restaurants. It has recently opened, and the interior design is really high quality and beautifully done, staff are incredibly friendly, and price-wise its much better value than other hotels in the area (although for sure the price will increase as it becomes better known). Breakfast is fine - fresh fruit juice, fruit, eggs - coffee could be stronger, and I prefer yogurt / cereal myself, but thats a personal preference.  The hotel also offers spa and massage, although I did not have time. Its quiet, no street noise whatsoever, but my only tiny complaint is that noise within the hotel carries, I could hear a telephone from the reception upstairs. Overall, though, I would definitely stay here again.
