Qinwang Hotel

I stayed at the Qinwang Hotel in Shaoxing with my friends for 2 nights and was very pleased with the hotel. The location is a little out of the way, but the surrounding area is quiet and a taxi was easy to find outside and with the city being small, it didn't take long to go where one wished to go. Check in was a little slow, but not unusual when visiting a small town in China. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable with modern facilities. They have A/C and also windows that open for fresh air, which was a nice feature for the time of year we were there, as the weather was cooler and the open fresh air is nice at night.. One thing I wasn't impressed with was the smell of the men smoking down the hall or in other rooms. This is also very common in China but still upsetting when one has allergies to smoking!. The breakfast was also as I had expected in a small place in China. They serve a Chinese/Western buffet and the food was served hot and there were many selections to choose from. Checking out was much the same as checking in; a little slow but not uncommon for a city the size of Shaoxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this friendly and quaint city of Shaoxing!
