Jinjiang Inn Select Chongqing Railway Station Yangtze River View Branch

The review title is an allusion to a book - but yes, the hotel is 50 meters below the Lianglukou metro - your link to the rest of Chongqing city. Access is via the Huangguan (Crown) Da Fu Ti (escalator - 2nd longest in Asia) and walk a few meters more but note the opening hours - as you don't want to use the stairs too much! Be careful of what the GPS tells you. I chose this hotel because it was near the Caiyuanba bus station which had a direct bus to the Chongqing University of Posts and Communications. The facilities are good for the price - private bathroom, clean, modern and so on. Staff are very helpful, but very little English spoken - if at all. There's some dining nearby but note it is mainly local cooking and I could not see any fine dining. The address is bit odd as the hotel is actually at 168 Nanqu itself.
