Another clean and comfortable hotel. Bathroom was a bit different with a well decorated sink and a shower that had a clear screen to the bedroom. Ideal if you want to watch TV from the shower. Or be watched while you shower! Good firm bed for a good nights sleep, until someone gets up for a pee. Thanks to the gadgetry of this hotel the lights come on by themselves when you walk into the bathroom. Trying to turn them off just causes more to be turned on. Then you have 2 annoyed occupants. This scenario was not restricted to just us, most of our tour group, 10 couples, had the same experience. No alcohol in the lobby bar but we were allowed to bring in our own wine from the supermarket and used the glasses from our room. Free wifi in the lobby bar.

Beware the lights at night

This was a lovely hotel. The quality of my room and others on our tour was very high. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of Chinese and Western foods. 
The staff were marvelous, although like most hotels in China, there was little English. One person on our tour had an accident in the street on our first night in Chengdu, and the staff were very helpful in looking after all her needs. This is an excellent hotel.

Lovely hotel

I just stayed for a few days during my visit to Chengdu. I got two different rooms because I checked-in twice (moving to other city at the middle). In general, rooms are quite decent (albeit rather dark, probably won't suit some taste), in a sense, you can definitely sleep. The rooms are quite clean, bathrooms are also quite clean. Amenities are rather complete, including toothbrushes and two free 330-ml mineral water daily. They also provide body wash on the bathtub's wall. They do provide a flat-screen TV, but do not expect more than CCTV (China's national television) and other Chinese channels—no foreign channels available.

Services are quite good, depending on the individual that you meet. I met one that is quite friendly, others that were not so friendly. What is true to everyone that you meet is that practically no one speaks English. They do provide internet, although the quality of connection is questionable. They provide broadband cable inside every room, and routers at every room located at the end of the hallway. 

The restaurant, however, is terrible. Don't expect to much on the taste. Make no mistake, though: the meals are quite lavish, and they are probably better suited to local tastes. For foreigners, don't count too much on it. The only thing that you can be sure has the expected taste is fried egg.

About the location: I don't find the location strategic enough to put it around famous/important steps in Chengdu. It is quite close, however, to Wanda Plaza, a few hundred meters away walking. A short trip using the now rare motorized rickshaw will cost you around RMB 20 (and yes, you can bargain on this one).

Conclusion: The hotel is good for its price, especially good if you do not expect too much. It is not your budget hotel, of course, but it is quite decent.

Probably just worth the price, nothing more

For the price you pay, this hotel does the work.  The usual is expected and delivered.  You must ensure you return all room keys, otherwise you get charged.  breakfast room is big, and spread is nothing exciting.  they have an egg station, where you can also get noodles - this is quite good though :)
Ensure you don't just get the hotel card, but the exact location of the hotel as many taxi drivers we hired do not know where the hotel is.  
There are eateries and convenience store nearby, and I rather like the fruit shop a block away - the mangosteen is in season and it was very sweet!

An OK hotel

We had a triple room, extra bed was set up before we came into the room but at an odd place, so we had to move the extra bed to the side & not right in the middle of the room where it was obstructing us walking.  Electric kettle was faulty, room with a bad smell, 3 lights was faulty & when we turn on the air-conditioner, dust came out almost 'choking' us.  Informed the front desk & a repair man fix up the lights but there's nothing he can do about the aircon vent, a lady came to replace the electric kettle & sprayed the room with an airfreshener but smell still persists.  

Internet in room via lan cable free, free WIFI in lobby only.

There's a few convenience stores in the area for your drinks & tibits.  There's even a market behind the hotel where you can purchase local fruits at reasonable price.
