24 reviewsOn our trip to Boa Vista (Cape Verde) we did not choose fancy AI hotels on other side of island. We decided to go the other way and stay where local people lived - Sal Rei. So we have met few locals and we asked to show us where could we stay in town. We were looking for simple place to stay. We wanted to simply have a room to sleep, shower and maybe have breakfast in the morning. So that was the case when we have been introduced to owner of Pensao Santa Isabel. Very nice owner and maiden, very friendly, even when he could talk much English but you could understand one another with smile. :). The room was simple. We took 1 that is facing centre of town. Was very nice, because you could have a morning coffee in the balcony and just relax. Morning breakfast not big, but was enough to start a day. Glass of juice, buns, 1 or 2 cooked eggs, some butter, cheese and cup of coffee or tea if you wanted. You could even have your laundry done. In the evening you could hear noise from the street, but what do you expect when there is a restaurant 20 meters away right there in town square. But when you close the windows it was perfectly fine. The maiden came every single day to clean our room, change sheets take the rubbish out and for that price you could not get it anywhere like that. We paid around 30 Euro.
