New owner Dennis, has made many improvements, pays attention to the small details, goes out of his way to accommodate requests. This property has a new name Parkside Cottage and suites. We organized a family reunion here. The location to Beach was very convenient, an easy walk. 20 minutes to airport. Just a great location.

I liked everything I liked the rooms, kitchen and everyth

14 different things were not provided or needed repair.  
These people don't care.    Run away. Basic items such as garbage bags, paper towels, park pass, laundry facility, office closed all the time, broken screens, filthy.

Just looking to get out of business

Started with request for cash payment as debit/credit not working.  Miraculously was fixed when we refused to pay with cash.

Lights inside bedroom and outside cottage were not working. Was not fixed until the night before we left. This was also the night the cable box started working as well after we complained.

Office was not open except the few minutes we took to check in despite the website indicating coffee available to purchase every morning.  The lack of staffing also made it impossible to obtain the park passes as advertised as well.

Shower head only supplied cold water. The hot water came out of spout only.

We were happy to leave. Was a very poor experience and we will definitely not return.

So many things wrong

We had our family reunion recently at Sandpiper Cottages, the entire complex is in bad need of repair, there were broken picnic tables, hand railings on the steps going onto the cottage porches etc. Our unit had an infestation of ice the first night we were there and with 2 small terrified children we had to move our party to the Shaw Hotel, the price we paid there was an additional $150 per night which we had to incur and then we of course had to drive back and forth the 10 KMs between locations for all the reunion events. The others in our family were promised a 10% price discount on their cottages as we had rented the entire complex for 3 days but upon check out the owner refused to give other family members the discount, very poor business acumen. I am going to be making complaints to both the PEI Department of Health and safety as someone could become ill or be injured staying at this location. It was a terrible experience and PEI should be ashamed for granting a business permit to this owner.

Terrible Experience

We were 4 adults staying in Unit 3.  We felt these accommodations were very inadequate for our needs.  Our Unit was very small.  The bedrooms were so small, the suitcases had to be thrown on the beds to be opened.  The living room lacked adequate seating for 4 adults.  The ceiling leaked over the stove, when it rained, ruining our food.
The extra security door latch was broken and the battery in the smoke alarm had been disconnected.  There was no phone in the Unit.  Husband had a medical emergency and Cell reception was poor. 
  The location of the cottage was very convenient to the beach.  I would not stay at this location again.

There has to be better accommodations.

This place is a quiet, cozy spot, close to the beach and only a short drive to many island fun spots. Our host Keith, was very friendly and full of valuable information. Our grandson made good use of the children's play area. We enjoyed the BBQ and cooked locally purchased mussels with a loaner cooking pot on our cottage's deck. Our family had a fabulous time.
