My husband and I stayed at Kapristo Lodge as part of our Alberta road trip for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved the 2 nights we spent there. Golden was a lovely town, and the lodge had everything we needed, from a clean and comfortable room to delicious breakfasts and a lovely patio for relaxing. 

The owner Roswitha was incredible - she made sure that every aspect of our stay at Kapristo was taken care of, from delicious breakfasts to local insights. She went the extra mile to make sure my husband and I felt taken care of, as it was our honeymoon, with small touches throughout our stay. 

We would certainly recommend staying here!

Warm hospitality & beautiful location

We only stayed one night to break up our trip home from Calgary and like so many other reviewers wished we could have stayed longer. The lodge is set on a hillside and so peaceful.  We sat outside enjoying the garden for quite a while before moving inside onto big comfortable sofas. We were made very welcome by our hosts who organized a huge packed breakfast  for us as we wanted to leave early to avoid being stuck in the construction traffic. Truly a home from home!

Best night's sleep of our whole trip!

Wonderful place away from hustle and bustle of big cities. Lovely hostess and amazing views. Breakfast is first class and will last last you till dinner! Highly recommend! Close to town and surrounding hiking trails. Having  coffee or glass of wine surrounded by mountains tastes so much better :)

Piece of paradise!

The entire stay was a wonderful experience! 
We required pet friendly accommodations, and this was such an unforgettable choice. I think our pets were treated as guests, and we were treated as family.  The hosts did a remarkable job with their custom home; the property and rooms are incomparable to other B&Bs. The breakfast was also amazing. We will be back, and in the meantime, referring all friends and family to stay here!

Beautiful and serene

My husband, 6 month old twins, puppy, and best friend stayed here for 1 night as we moved from Kelowna to Calgary.
It was quite the trek and I am so happy we stayed the night- for more than just my sanity☺

Roswitha was amazing and the lodge is spectacular. It was a good set up for our family as we booked the biggest suite. The breakfast was fit for kings☺

This was super! What a hospitality and service by the hostess, Roswhita. Also Willy, Gabriel and Martin are great! The room was huge and super clean. Again super! Too bad the hottub was closed due to the renewal of the deck. But it looks great! Super B&B! When we come back this is one on our list to book again. 

Wauw! 

We only stayed one night at the end of a 750km drive. Unfortunately I also forgot about the hours difference so we arrived pretty late.
Not hard to find a little south of Golden.
The room was very spacious and comfortable,  lots of wood!
Good shower.
Breakfast was really good, we needed a lot more people to do it justice , it was a vast amount of food with plenty of choice. 
Our host was very friendly and well travelled, interesting conversation!
Some great tips for our trip too.
The property was in a nice location  and very quiet. It was a shame that we didn't get to spend a little longer there.

Overnight trip

We arrived later than anticipated and this was not a problem.  Our room had a lovely view of the mountains and lots of space.  Breakfast was served communally at a big table - which was nice on the days we were there because there was very nice people staying.
Lots of information available for excursions and suggestions locally.

very comfortable room & enjoyable stay

On the drive out to the property, the person who chose our lodging worried that the distance from the mountain (and the next morning's skiing) would be a problem - it's about 10km out of Golden. This was a needless worry - the place was a fantastic refuge. Our hosts were friendly, and gracious, and really helpful. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and comprehensive. There were plenty of places to relax (including a hot tub, nestled in the snow, just outside the back door). Breakfasts were enormous and delicious. Overall, it was the perfect choice to relax after a long day of skiing, and refresh for the next day's adventures. We couldn't have picked a better place.

A fantastic oasis just outside of Golden

We stayed at Kapristo Lodge in September 2018. It is the most perfect B&B. The owner is a charming lady who is exceptionally hospitable. We stayed in the Cougar Room which is impeccably furnished. The very large bed was very comfortable and we had a wonderful sleep. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty. I will definitely be coming back to stay!!!
Only downside to mention was we wanted to use the hot tub to soothe our aching hiked out bodies but it was out of access.
