I loved this place. I would give 11/10 if I could.  Super host who goes out of his way to make your stay the best. Breakfast is amazing too! Beautiful and so Christmassy. I was travelling alone for business and Richard made me feel so welcome. Cannot recommend enough

We had an amazing time! Richard the host was so accommodating. The decor is beautiful. We loved the delicious breakfast and his dog Sandy. This B&B is located right near downtown and the university. You will not be disappointed! We will be staying here again.

Had a wonderful stay with Richard and Sandy (the dog) hosting us. This beautiful Victorian property is perfectly appointed with attention to detail. The burgundy room, where we stayed, was spacious and comfortable. In warmer months, I'm sure the deck off of it would be wonderful. The breakfast had everything you might want. The warm buttery croissants were my favourite, but the fruit salad and fruit muffins were a close second. Richard was great to converse with and has a great knowledge of the area. The dog Sandy, is a gentle, loving friend - non-shedding being a bonus. Would definitely book another stay here.

We had a great 3-night stay at Richard's charming and characterful B&B.  He is a great host: attentive, thoughtful and very helpful.  The room was large, clean and inviting with a very comfortable bed.

Breakfast was also very good, the freshly baked muffins especially so, and Richard even offered food bags for us to take any uneaten muffins and croisants for later in the day.

Location is ideal, being a pleasant short walk to the centre of Ottawa.  Parking arrangements at the rear of the B&B are good, with monitored security cameras ensuring safety.

All in all, we felt very well looked after and throughly enjoyed our stay!

A wonderful B&B! We stayed in The Tower room which was a lovely big room with the most comfortable bed.  Richard provided a delicious breakfast and offered us some really interesting information on places to visit and things to see.  Sandy the golden doodle was an extra benefit.  Can’t recommend highly enough!

This B&B is an absolute gem if you are visiting Ottawa, Richard’s hospitality is second to none and his local knowledge is brilliant! The house and rooms are just beautiful and Sandy the dog is a lovely boy! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we were ever back in the area! I’d give it more stars if I could! 

Auberge King Edward is a lovely place to stay. The host, Richard, is hospitable and welcoming, and offers good advice on where to walk and what to visit in Ottawa. The breakfast is wonderful and fresh. I really enjoyed my stay in the Tower Room, and look forward to returning to Ottawa -- and Auberge King Edward -- in the future. 

Our stay at the Auberge was a delight from start to finish - from our warm welcome to the stories of this incredible old home beautifully restored and a breakfast that sustained us long into the day. Well located for walking distance around town. Our room had a balcony providing a quiet respite for sipping wine before a restful sleep. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the Auberge King Edward was exceptional. Richard and his delightful dog Sandy are wonderful hosts. This period home, on a block of registered heritage buildings, is beautifully appointed with all sorts of interesting furniture and objects. The breakfast was delicious. It is; however, Richard’s magnificent garden with all sorts of exotic plants, that is a true wonder. And, he not only cares for his own garden, he has landscaped and tends to the gardens in the entire block!  Honestly, if you are looking to stay in central Ottawa, you couldn’t find a better place! We will definitely be returning.
