Nice,  clean , quiet place to stay . We stayed in the Cottage Suite and loved it. Would definitely recommend this place
Annick was fantastic to deal with. Very friendly . Would love to stay in the summer in the future. Very close to Riding Mountain in which we spent alot of our time .

had a great weekend stay with family at the Smokey Hollow motel in Onanole. This place is a lot more than a motel. In the back you'll find a heated swimming pool, fire pit area, and a beautiful gathering pavilion. The rooms are updated and clean. They also have a really nice large cabin to rent as well. The place is owned by two couples that are very caring to your needs and are willing to accommodate you whenever needed. A great place to rent for family gatherings, corporate events, etc. Don't let the frontage view question your choice. Walk to the back yard and enjoy the amenities.

Great place to stay

Great place to host a reunion. Close proximity to Riding Mountain National Park. My wife and I enjoyed a well-priced, simple king bedroom with walk-out access to the well-appointed "Pavillion" (rentable for groups and events). Great indoor/outdoor space with a large fire pit. ((LOL- we played spikeball on the hotel lawn with some new friends!!!))  Great customer service,  good quality bedding and linen. Clean and comfortable.
Mini fridge, microwave were nice features, too.

Nice place for a reunion!

This motel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is just a few minutes drive to the park entrance. It was a great economical choice for an accommodation when visiting Riding Mountain National Park.

We stayed here for 2 nights on Thanksgiving day long weekend.

I only spent 1 night but was greeted by very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are small but very clean. beautiful scenery ( close to the clear lake park entrance). rooms have small deck with chairs out side the back doors. Supplies were limited to 1 small bar of soap in the room no shampoos, tissue etc. Coffee was available at the office upon request. Beds were clean and comfortable. I would return for a longer visit and recommend this hotel price was good when I went not sure if it changes depending on peak season.

Cozy get away

Location is very close to Clear Lake. nice back yard and pools is very nice and clean. Good prices. Rooms not fancey but nice and clean. Hot hub was not working when we were there. Staff very friendly

An amazing  little gem with beautiful. Rooms and grounds. Probably the most accommodating  owners I have ever seen. This will be our new hide away vacation .to those with bad attitudes or negative reviews   about this place u are so wrong. Thank u   Smokey  hollow  for letting us stay at  your hidden gem

Amazing

Jacked up room prices for a wedding. The room is so basic they don't have shampoo, coffee, Kleenex, a phone, ice, etc.
No air conditioning. They advertise a Hottub on their website and signs but the Hottub did not meet health codes so it doesn't work.
Owner Roy was rude and made us pay upfront. He didn't want to budge on giving us discount because there was no Hottub.
Pool was supposed to be open at 10am; went to use the pool and it was locked; no staff around to tell me why or to unlock it.
Yes, the room was clean. Big deal; it's supposed to be clean lol.
For $111 a night it was a total rip off, tiny little shack of a room. Spend a bit more and go stay in the Park in a nice room with all working amenities. 

Where to start ;(

Thanks Smokey Hollow for a great 2-night stay! My boyfriend and I enjoyed my 2-night stay at Smokey Hollow, and I would stay again. We paid $223 for 2 nights on the long weekend, which was quite reasonable in comparison to other locations. This is a motel, not a "resort". The website is fairly outdated, as there are no condos, there was no air conditioning, and there was no hot tub (it is still there, but it is empty and non-functional). Apart from those "negative" things, we were very happy with the cleanliness of the rooms (clean bedsheets, room made up again after the first night, clean towels, clean carpet), having a mini-fridge and television in the room, and the friendly staff we dealt with via telephone and in-person (such nice and helpful people!!). The bed was very comfortable (a double bed), and the windows were functional (to get a good breeze, since there was no A/C). The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the pool seemed clean! It is SO close to Riding National Park, can't beat the location! If you are indeed expecting a "resort", this is not a resort, however, if you are looking for a very clean place with a comfortable bed and functional shower, toilet, mini-fridge, television, and beautiful grounds - this is it. I would stay here again.

Spent a few days at Smokey Hollow resort. The rooms are small,,, but clean and fresh. The grounds are very well kept with a nice swimming pool. Management are very friendly. I would highly recommend this place.
