The best compliment we can give is that we sure wish we lived in an apartment just like the very spacious studio we were assigned - #304. From nicely sized bathroom and comfy partitioned off bedroom area to fully equipped kitchenette and cozy living area, a total of CAD $200 for three nights was ridiculously excellent value. Everything was in great condition and spotlessly clean, and we especially appreciated thoughtful touches like Apple TV and floor-to-ceiling windows that both allowed sunshine to flow in and let us watch prettily falling snow right before our eyes. Check-in can be a bit tricky - it was our first time doing it through the VirtualHost app, which had to be downloaded. However, from emailed instructions and past reviews, we were ready for it, and actually found it interesting to check in via video call. Once the app was set up and the appropriate logins completed, it was seamless and friendly (a live staff member was on the other end of the video call). Although there were no elevators, the value and quality of accommodations was amazing enough that this was a very moot point for us. There’s a lot to see and eat in Old Town, which is about 15 minutes’ walk down any of the city’s main north-south boulevards. But, the Plateau and Mile End districts are the places to be to truly dive into Montreal’s extraordinary arts and eating scenes. The apartment is right in the heart of Plateau (institutions like Schwartz’s, Au Pied du Cochon, Reservoir microbrewery, Moishe’s are minutes away), and Mile End is just 10 minutes the other way. Drugstores and smaller supermarkets abound, so you really want for nothing. I would not stay anywhere else if I’m lucky enough to return to Montreal! Thank you!
