Location is walking distance to everything you want to visit in downtown Halifax. Room was well-appointed and clean, with nice ensuite bath. Owners were very warm and went the extra mile to accommodate our need for luggage storage on day of checkout. There is no breakfast included, but there is coffee and tea in the foyer, and good breakfast spots are within a few blocks. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent value for Halifax

This was our first time staying at the Inn and it was a great find. The receptionist, Sue was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment that was fully equipped with a  very comfortable bed.  We will definitely will return.

Great Inn. Close to everything.

A local boutique style hotel in a good location in a quiet street.only 12 rooms each a bit different some have a kitchenet others have a Seperate living room.mine was a comfortable room with a tv/desk/fan.needs a luggage rack.bathroom is good size with white modern style with shower over bath.Wifi is free & reliable.many steep steps to front door,not easy with luggage.there is a shared kitchen in basement but no meals are provided & check out @ 10am is too early,& no facility for left luggage.as its in  a quiet street there is no noise so restful sleep assured..there is a local news shop/store on the corner.

A nice and comfortable room. Great location for exploring halifax, within walking distance of all major sights. Only issue is that there's no counter/room services. This is more of rented apartment then hotel/inn.

Mostly great experience, just missing an AC.  Maybe it was just my apartment.  People were very accommodating and hospitable.Thanks

We tried booking and were not given a response for days at a time. Finally, on the day we spoke (the day we were hoping to check in) and when asked what our budget was, I said less was always better and we wanted to stay there as we thought it would be more cost effective than a hotel (as anyone else staying would want). After speaking that day, we were called back and told there was no availability due to sudden last minute bookings. This was frustrating as I had tried contacting and booking several days earlier. When I said we were disappointed because we had frequent visitors with is who own a business in the area, we were told they did have two rooms available that they assumed where out of our price range, (100$-120$ a night). That was again tacky and very disappointing. If nothing else, the difficulties in booking were enough to make us steer clear next time and not recommend staying there.

Didn't get to stay as booking experience was terrible.

This is a place to stay when you want a suite for the price of a motel room. The suite was beautifully furnished with all the comforts of home and for being downtown it is very peaceful and the staff was very helpful. This will be my place to stay when I am in Halifax.

Nice place to stay, in the middle of everything

I had a lovely experience staying at the Mary Queen of Scots. The staff were friendly and very helpful with all and any requests that were made. As well, the rooms were beautifully furnished to give you a traditional feel in a great historical building. The Inn is 5 minutes away from all the bustling and busy streets of downtown Halifax with groceries, gas and all other goods being available at a short 5 minute walk. If you are looking for a home away from home this is the place to be! Thanks for the great stay

Beautiful Location

I stayed here for a month. Although, unfortunately, there was a construction going on across the street, I can say that my stay was overall very good. The whole building was clean and organized, and my unit was cozy and comfy. The key thing about this place is its location. In summary, this is an extremely good place with a wonderful location.
