This bar us great. We were well looked after by William and staff.  Great facilities excellent fresh food well bbq,ed especially the Tiger prawns. Cannot fault it nue to hzvd free sun beds. Thank you again..

several choice of sports & entertainment from ground to marine, mini-golf course, paddle board, hover boar, catamaran... just so relaxing and entertaining at the same time. real vibe of Otres 1! Highly Rocommended either for family or couple!

Perfect spot on the beach to relax.  Enjoy a cocktail and have some lunch.  Massages and personal grooming services available.  Clean and safe.  Many staff members available to satisfy your needs.  Stay for unforgettable sunsets.

Choice to go on Otres 1

Relax

It appears the Queenco Palm is an attempt at an upscale, resort-style property, and they got it mostly right. It may be primitive by five-star standards, but the grounds and beach loungers are much nicer than elsewhere on Otres 1. The beach is gorgeous and spacious, and there is less bother from vendors. 

The rooms themselves offer decent value - for $30 US we got a soft mattress, plenty of drinking water, TV, good AC, and a useable ensuite (though no hot water). Wifi was slow and intermittent depending on your location on the property. It's true the rooms are very dark due to deep red painted walls and heavy film on the glass sliding doors, but this provides privacy and is good for sleeping at night. 

Just a word on the "politics" of the place - we're warned away because apparently the owner has annoyed his neighbours by not hiring local Khmer people or allowing them to sell on the beach. If you are outside of the property and mention you are staying there, be prepared for an earful.

Best beach location on Otres 1

Not sure what we expected for the price we paid but check-in at the bar by young ladies who were out of their depth and basically just handed our key was not it.

The beach setup is terrific, lots of cabannas, day beds, tables and chairs but waiting two hours for two drinks was unacceptable. We felt some of the staff were avoiding us due to their limited understanding of english. We never expect fluent english when we travel overseas but to be ignored is unacceptable and more training and help needs to be available to the staff.

The rooms were very average. No safe, no fridge, no handle on the plywood bathroom door, no hot water. 

Went into the main town of Sihounikville for the afternoon, which apart from seeing the Casino's offered little else. Decided to return to Queenco for dinner. Big mistake! Staff were playing pool and eating dinner, okay but being ignored as a guest is inexcusable.

What saved the day and our opinion of Sihounikville, only slightly mind you, was deciding to walk further along the beach and enjoy the many small bars and restaurants where you can sit on the sand enjoy the sunset and the views.

Decided not to stay the two nights as planned but don't expect breakfast or even a simple coffee on departure unless it is after 8:30am.

Management/Owners were visible but did not interact with guests. A bit more effort to train their staff may help with guests expectations.
