I finally stayed here since the sister hotel Grand Diamond was so noisy with Thais in the next rooms. I was on the 6th floor 4 nights, it is a non-smoking floor and the rooms have twin beds, so it is quiet. No outside noise since there is a big field out there. The standard room is 1000 baht and you get 300 baht in vouchers that can be used for gambling here and at Grand Diamond, or use them for food. THe TV is an old CRT, has 2 FOX movie channels and CNN in English. The bathroom has a glass enclosed shower with plenty of hot water and pressure. Soap, gel, shampoo, lotion are provided. Two big bath towels and 2 hand towels. There is a fridge but no mini bar, 2 free waters each day. THere are outlets around, I use the one by the bed for my laptop. WiFi is fast and free, you need a code each day from the desk. Plenty of lights, blackout curtains. The food court in the basement is great. You need to buy a 50 baht coupon for each food group. They have DIm-Sum. They have a lady cooking meals to order from a menu with about 10 items. THey have a section with about 8 dishes in pans, you get 2 with rice for that 50 baht. They have pies and cakes, and a place where the lady makes those round coconut sweets. They have coconut ice cream that you add your own toppings. They have soup and more. It was all good. The ground floor has a market/duty free shop. They have lots of candy and toiletries etc, including several kinds of Pringles. I need them for the bus to Bangkok. I haven't gambled here but the hotel and dining are my favorites now. Note that on Friday and Saturday the room will be 1800 baht with 600 in vouchers. That's because they fill up with Thai people. Staff are very nice.
