After a previous visit, a few months ago, I certainly wanted to give it a new chance. But what a disappointment!
We went here for dinner and it seems there's a new management or a new owner. Actual staff couldn't be less interested in the customers.
The menu is far less attractive than before. Anyway we wanted the lovely mixed seafood platter with a cool bottle of white wine. And that's what we ordered.
The lady told us that the price of the white wine is now different from what is indicated in the menu because it's another wine. 
What we got? An already opened bottle of red wine... Sorry, this is certainly not what we ordered. "White no more have. Red better."
We decided to cancel our order and we went for a good seafood barbecue at the neighbours.
We absolutely don't expect a "Hilton service" on Koh Rong Samloem. We just expect a minimum of respect for the customers. 
Looking forward to new owner or new management again because it can't get worse anymore.

Absolutely unprofessional

This place is disgusting they call themselves eco village..  What a JOKE take a look at the rubbish they pile up out the back hidden from everyone and just bury it under the sand as they won't pay for the removal $100 per month .. the rooms are terrible and the place should be avoided at all costs Disgusting !!!!!
This place is a joke don't waste your time or money much better places to stay .. glad we only stayed here 1 night !!!

AVOID LOOK AT THE RUBBISH OUT THE BACK

The power only worked from 6-11pm at night which is pretty illogical. Sometimes it was on from 8-9am as well if you were lucky. It was SO hot we had to sleep with the door open both nights. It was terrible. The bathroom facilities are less then sup par and really should be deemed unclean to use. The hotel also did our laundry and lost a bunch of items. I would not recommend at all. Also no wifi. The entire property was just full of old furniture and scrap wood and garbage was quite a mess not even with the $17 we paid per night. 

Too hot to function

We stayed here over NYE 2016/17. The bungalows are literally on the beach and each a have a simple bathroom and shower (cold water - but who cares it's so warm anyway!). This place is very basic, so it's not going to be for everyone, but if you're looking to unplug from modern life (literally - apart from a light and fan in the room, you need to charge your phones and cameras in the main reception cabin) it might be for you. It's lovely to fall asleep hearing the waves crashing outside the door. Rooms were fine but basic, linen and sheets were provided and rooms were being cleaned. Reception staff were really friendly and have recently taken over management so I would imagine there will be more changes afoot. Tip - if you stay and it's windy on the beach - go over to Lazy Beach which is about an easy 20 minute walk on the other side of island (track is next to Octopussy Bar - next hotel up) - it's totally shielded from the wind and is just lovely.

Lovely - if you're looking to unplug a bit

Just wanted to try a different place popped in for dinner. Service was good, food was pretty good, I was tired of rice and chicken ect and wanted a burger for once so tried that here. The beers were cheap. Can't complain.
