First and foremost I only ate and drank here during my stay in kampot.The owner Eddie and the crew are really fantastic, the atmosphere is really chill and if you stay in Kampot, you have to visit this place for good fresh food and nice drinks, they are making superb cocktails! 

Owner is fantastic

Staff ,owner great chat . Loved the type of music . Not loud but good for diners and drinkers. Food best I've had in a sea of pizza places.  If you're in area do yourself a favour go in and enjoy . There's loads of cheap pizza places, 🤔 it's Cambodia.  

Bokor Lodge is the oldest building on the riverside in Kampot, and to be honest, it shows a bit. The rooms are rustic, and the paint is flaking and prices are so cheap for the location. The food is very good, daily special is always great. Drinks are cheap, staff are friendly. The owner, Thomas, is very welcoming and keeps a close eye on things with his assistant and driver, Andy.

Great river view and fresh breeze

Staff is super kind.  The room is clean,  spacious,  and very cheap.  I pay ten dollars for one night for one room direct facing the river.  The only problem is water pressure. The place has so so much potential,  just need to invest a bit more you can easily sell the room for 50 dollar a night with perfect location,  nice architect,  beautiful room.  I really feel sad for the owner here.

Great place

We ate dinner here and it was absolutely unreal. If you’re looking for some quality western food, which you won’t come by often in Cambodia, definitely head here, I had the bbq pork ribs which came with two kinds of homemade sauces and home made coleslaw and it was delicious. Friendly atmosphere and amazing choices on the menu

Amazing Dinner

I appreciate that my review is somewhat dated ~ "My Bad" but I've been busy and distracted ...

This hotel is brilliant! The staff ~ particularly Andrew ~ couldn't have been better! Excellent service and extremely attentive!

The location is first rate and is a stones throw from restaurants, shops and amenities.

The rooms are spacious and well appointed.  The beds are a good size and comfortable but what really stands out to me was the helpful and friendly staff and the rustic charm!

The cafe downstairs is very good and at the time of our visit, the food was rather good!

There are a good number of hotels near this property but I recommend that you definitely consider this attractive hotel when making your final decision!

Top Notch as at late 2018

After struggling to find a room we were offered the last room here. We asked if the room had a private bathroom and were told that it did. All seemed well and the staff were lovely. We got shown our room which had a balcony and had a private bathroom separate.
Room was what we needed and clean and we really needed to sleep. 
Owner was nice and helpful with where to go in the area so we felt good about our digs for the next couple of nights. 

In the morning when we came to use our private bathroom we discovered that our bathroom had no running water. Though a shower and bathroom was advertised. After telling the staff about the lack of water and that we needed showers and stuff the staff told us they don't have water.
And there was nothing they could do. We said that we needed a shower and the lady just replied with "no, you can't have"

We packed up and left. Nothing else was offered to us, not another room with water or even an apology. 

You can find much better for the same price.

Booked for two nights, lasted one.

No Internet, No running water, no toilet flush, roof not wind and waterproof, no sink. When they say tomorrow, they mean never. No sleep because the Irish bar next door plays loud music until five in the morning most days. Furniture mostly broken. Very run down, no maintenance. 

Warning

This place has seen better times , no investment has been done here and it’s a shame as the location is Perfect... it doesn’t even do nice coffee.. shame total waste of time and effort.. great places close by though 

Fallen down 

We checked into this hotel for 2 nights with a group of friends - 3 rooms were booked.  After being shown one of our rooms [only 2 were ready when we arrived] we checked out straight away and went elsewhere.
