I highly recommend staying in Klein Hostel when you are in Foz Do Iguazu!  It is very clean, chill, and close to the international bus station.  The owners, Roberto and Dama, live on the property--with their three friendly dogs and one aloof cat!-- and are welcoming and helpful. And Jessica, who staffs the reception desk during the day, is a real gem!  She is extremely knowledgeable about what to do in the local area--not only in Brazil, but in Argentina and Paraguay as well!!  She has a friendly, helpful and, as I always need, patient personality!!  Big thumbs up for Klein Hostel!!

Outstanding Hostel in Foz Do Iguazu!

It's the perfect place to stay if you want to visit the Iguazù falls from both sides (Brazilian and Argentinian one). The owner lives right there so for any kind of problem you can ask for assistance. He was very kind with me, as that day I was the only guest, he brought me by car to the falls at a very affordable price. 

I chose this hostel because I had a bus to take at rodoviaria very early in the morning and the place was located near there. Actually I found it very hard to walk to the hostel because it is not in the city centre (to note that from the falls you need to take one bus until the TTI (terminal urbano) and another one to get to the hostel). and there are no signals showing the names of the streets. Fortunately, all the neighbours are kind and I asked everyone in order to get there.

Nice but hard to find

I came because the hostel gives u free shuttle from the bus station. The location is not very good, the room is dense, the stuff is nice. Breakfast pretty lame, and there's an upset rule saying that if u wanna make a sandwich u need to pay for it. 3/5

Average 

Let me make this clear im not the sort of person who writes negative reviews but this was easily my worst hostel experience in Brazil. The ventilation in the rooms was woeful, i was struggling to breath all night. I believe there is a mould problem in the room as it is incredibly stuffy, this can cause serious health problems for guests. Also my bed had bed bugs in it, the staff were apologetic but wouldn't give me a refund when i wanted to leave the hostel a day earlier. It really ruined the Igassu falls experience for me, why won't you let a guest check out after they've had a bad experience at the hostel? Why won't you do your utmost to help the guests when theyve had such a poor night's sleep.  Very disappointing experience , on the plus hand the girl at reception was very helpful in offering knowledge and tourist info, the less said about the manager the better. Sausage dogs were nice though.

Bed bugs and Mould

Klein hostel has bed bugs! Roberto was friendly when he collected me. The hostel is a bit grotty, but okay for 1 one (I initially thought). 

The pool is a toxic green colour, so not fit for use. When I asked why Roberto said it's because of rain water!

I fell asleep on the bed and woke up 1 hour later covered in bed bugs bites. When I told Roberto he got very agressive and said that he had never had bed bugs in the hostel. A quick google of the hostel showed lots of reviews showing that bed bugs was clearly a problem at Klein. He told me if I wanted to leave I must pay 60 reals for the airport pick up (the bed in the dorm was only 30 reals!) 

I was happy to leave, but unimpressed with his agressive attiude, demand for money and denial of the problem when the the bites were clear to see. 

Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.
