Mussulo Resort By Mantra

I had an incredible New Year's experience at Mussulo! I strongly recommend the resort. The major highlight is the kindness, competence and care of it's staff. A close second was the outstanding quality of the food and drinks served both during the meals and at the pool and beach club. We gave extensive compliments to the two chefs in person, and I ratify then here. The resort is also very accommodating of the needs of the elderly, disabled and children, which makes it ideal for families. The beauty, cleanliness and comfort of the pool and Beach club were impeccable. Their NYE party was also very fun and cool. All that said, I can point out a few negative aspects that perhaps could be improved in the future: - only one bathroom for a family of four is not ideal. If there is ever an extensive remodeling of the bungalows, consider adding one to the master bedroom. - the gym and the sauna were drastically lacking. It would do you well to improve the quality and number of the available equipment. - while the live music every day was quite a treat most of the time, some of the hired singers/bands were just dreadful. Maybe a tighter screening process is in order. - the food served at the NYE supper was a tad sub par. Especially since the food served on a daily basis was so delicious. - the rules and fees for borrowing/losing hotel amenities (towels, outlet extensions, key cards, etc.) were a bit too convoluted and weird. I understand the need to preserve hotel property, but at a resort of this level the guests certainly deserve a little bit more of trust. - finding the resort on the road was a bit of an ordeal. They should put up some signs on the road from João Pessoa.
