We received a very warm welcome from Paulo, who runs the transportation service and picked us up from the airport in Belo Horizonte, and his wife Marcia, who runs the pousada. (We also used Paulo’s transportation services to go to and from Inhotim (20-30 mins each way) and to Ouro Preto.)The grounds are beautiful and lush with plants - and some toucans! Simple but clean rooms, and four-legged friends rescued by Marcia and Paulo abound, including cats and Logan the dog. We enjoyed the amazing breakfast spread of breads, fruits, local honey and more in the covered but open air patio. There is not a restaurant onsite but they helped us order dinner delivered from a local restaurant (had a tasty burger, and my friend got the vegetarian burger). Marcia and Paulo were very thoughtful hosts and patient with my limited Portuguese. We used google translate before we arrived and during our stay to understand each other, which worked well.
